My frustration had reached it's limit. My original E-mail:

Hey, after 2 straight seasons of seeing the Bartman play every

time I turn on ESPN, don't you think its time to let it go? Had the Cubs

won the world series in 2003, would you have been showing replays of the

final out during todays game? I highly doubt it. The sad part is,

because you guys are still smearing that play in everybody's face,

there is a huge misconception that Cubs fans blame Bartman for our loss.

We don't. We blame Gonzalez, Prior, Baker, Alou, and Farnsworth. You

know... the people that had something to do with the loss.

For the love of God, please stop showing it.

P.S. Joe Morgan sucks

That was during the Michael Barrett grand slam game. about 5 minutes ago I got a response.

Thanks for writing. Your comments mean a great deal to us.

Being a national network, we do our best to select announcers who are

fair and neutral to the games that they cover, yet offer insightful and

entertaining analysis.

We'll be sure to address your thoughts and concerns with our producers.

Sincerely,

ESPN Viewer Response Team - Fans serving Fans

Maybe they are being truthfull and will actually tell their producers that Cubs fans are getting fed up with their crap, but I doubt it.

I highly doubt they will stop showing it. I understand why they would show it when we play the Marlins. But there is no reason to show it or talk about when we play any other team. Morgan and Miller spent five minutes talking about it during the Cubs-Cardinals game on ESPN on the first sunday of the year.

They didn't even address your concerns/questions. They saw "Joe Morgan sucks" and feebly attempted to ease your pain. Weasels.

If you wouldn't have put "Joe Morgan sucks" at the end of the email you probably wouldn't have even got any response at all.

As petty as it sounds after the Cubs win the WS, I'd hope they tell ESPN and SI both to shove it - no access to Club House or Press Conferences, etc.

I wonder what would happen if you sent an email complaining about the Red Sox/Yankees overwhelming presence on the network....

Mentioning Bartman is just one of the cliches they use when they do a Cub game.Rooftops,Harry Caray, etc. They feel the need to use all those things to fill space instead of focusing on the game. How can you expect them to let go of the Bartman thing when Chicago can't let go of the 85 Bears. Oh yeah, and Joe Morgan sucks.
