Only if the go ahead run was on 2nd at the bottom of the 9th. Any other situation, Sammy would follow... and K with three quick whiffs of the bat... EXCEPT in '98.

 

Although in reality that's not true.

 

Sure seemed true. I remember seeing lots of Grace walks and hits go for naught.

I was talking about watching Grace, not necassarily the team's performance, but '89 was still worth it all.
