Dusty said on cubs.com that he does the double-switch due to things not in this game. Not sure what he was seeing today.

There is NO GD REASON to double switch there. Everbody in the park knows Dusty won't use Howry for more than one inning anyway.

And the third walk scores too. 6-3 now.

Quality work today Dusty, quality work. With no double switch they at worst get out of the inning with one run scoring. Idiot.

Our pen sure gave those runs back and then some in a hurry.

I'm going to try and have some perspective on this even though I'm pissed off. Even the GREATEST pens blow a game here or there. This is the first game that I remember ou pen blowing. It happens.

Howry's been giving up too many hits lately.

Most outfielders would have caught the ball to RF which would have made the out to Pierre the 3rd in the inning.

Howry is a little off in each of his last 2 outings

How so? He got two fly ball outs. It's not his fault The Village Idiot took out a better fielder in RF.

Howry gets out of that inning with, at worst, one run scoring if Jones stays in the game.

But a run would have score on the first flyout either way

Yeah, I didn't see the play, and posted that before I saw all the "lost in the sun" stuff.

Howry needed to induce a groundball. Instead, he's given up to fly balls.

And the Cubs still haven't won on my birthday since 2001. Man oh man.

The Cubs have never won on my birthday.

Ok, it's October 28.

Doesn't look good folks. Well at least we took 2/3.

True, but a ugly loss to remember over an off day is not they way I would have this team start the Brewers series. :-(

0 holds in his last 2 chances
