7-3 Daytona to the 6th

Gallagher is done, and I just missed hearing who is currently pitching for Daytona.

Gallagher's line: 5IPs, 8H, 3R, 3ER, 3BB, 1K, 10GO/3FO

8H: 1 double, 7 singles (4 infield singles)

ETA: Carlos Perez is now pitching

Let's just hope Tim doesn't throw out his (first) pitching shoulder patting himself on the back after Fox's start.

I threw 40 pitches the other day and felt pretty good. I even mixed in an overhand curve near the end. The speed wasn't great, but I actually hit the zone pretty consistently. For some reason, though, I've always been able to hit a strike zone painted on a wall better than a catcher's mitt.

I think I'll stick with the 4-seamer at the game, though. :D

Don't like to see the three walks, but it looks like he had good stuff. Any idea how many pitches he threw?

Pie flied out to center.

Real men throw the knuckle curve.

I can't get a regular knuckleball within 20 feet of the plate.

Since you have the pitching portion of the night ready, are you ready for the booth?

Tim should practice PBP and color on his own pitches.

And by that I mean talking about how hard they'd be hit if there was a batter standing in.

Any idea who'd be catching it?

Not even close! I'm counting on Ron's help to pull me through. ;)

If I had a choice, they'd promote Fox to do it. :D

I think he matched his walk total for his previous starts tonight. I haven't heard pitch totals mentioned, but have emailed the broadcaster. I was keeping pitches for the first couple of innings, but my brother & his family stopped by, so I dropped it.

Now 7-5 Daytona, Hammerheads have runners on the corners with 2 outs. Both Jupiter runs this inning are unearned on a throwing error by Perez.

Phelps now in for Daytona.

7-6 Daytona on a single up the middle.

Runners on 1st & 2nd, still two outs.

WP = runners at 2nd & 3rd, 2 outs

Fantastic play on a high bouncer by Daytona SS Daniel Gonzalez ends the inning.

7-6 Daytona to the bottom of the 6th.

Brownlie's final line: 4 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 0 BBs, 6 Ks, 2 HRs

Nice to see him settle down after the first inning AND not give up any walks.

No other preference?

Someone very tall and agile would be good.

Felix strikes out on a check swing. He certainly did not like the call. He stood in the batter's box for about 5 seconds just staring out into left field.

Iowa loses 4-1. Pie went 2-4 with a single, double (into the right field corner again), and also got an assist. He hit Augie after fielding a double, who then gunned down the runner at home.

Micah Hoffpauir is playing out of his mind.

I cant believe he is back in AA again this year. He has to be the next one up if something happens or if Walker's back gets worse.
