gah my poor college ass cant afford that

but its so purdy. though pgcrosscheckers expensive stuff is supposed to be better.

when was the original 2007 300 you are referring to? If it is was before the summer of course it isnt going to be accurate compared to the end.

Nov. 13th. was when it was last updated, the original was from before the Summer.

I didn't pay for it, I wouldn't recommend it either.

The 10 or so kids that I've seen on that list isn't very accurate how they have them ranked. There are kids in the same area that aren't on that list that are better than all but one of them.

thats understandable and I can promise you that it's going to be the same way comparing the latest one and the final one in June.

Look at four various top 10s for the 06 draft

Date: January 27, 2006

1. Jordan Walden rhp

2. Chris Marrero 3b

3. Brett Anderson lhp

4. Kyle Drabek rhp/ss

5. Matt Latos rhp

6. Chris Tillman rhp

7. Dellin Betances rhp

8. Jeremy Jeffress rhp

9. Cody Johnson of/1b

10. Hank Conger c

Date: April 20, 2006

1. Clayton Kershaw lhp

2. Kyle Drabek rhp

3. Chris Tillman rhp

4. Chris Marrero 3b

5. Brett Anderson lhp

6. Jeremy Jeffress rhp

7. Jordan Walden rhp

8. Hank Conger c

9. Chris Parmelee 1b/of

10. Travis Snider of

Date: May 25, 2006

1. Clayton Kershaw lhp

2. Kyle Drabek rhp/ss

3. Jeremy Jeffress rhp

4. Bill Rowell 3b

5. Travis Snider of

6. Brett Anderson lhp

7. Hank Conger c

8. Chris Marrero 3b

9. Jordan Walden rhp

10. Kasey Kiker lhp

Half of the final top 10 werent in the January one.

For kicks, the oldest one I could find: Feb 2005:

1. Kyle Drabek, rhp/ss, The Woodlands (Texas) HS

2. Kasey Kiker, lhp, Russell County HS, Seale, Ala.

3. Gavin Brooks, lhp, Rancho Buena Vista HS, Vista, Calif.

4. Chris Marrero, ss, Monsignor Pace HS, Opa Locka, Fla.

5. Chris Tillman, rhp, Fountain Valley (Calif.) HS

6. Aaron Miller, lhp, Channelview (Texas) HS

7. Nicholas Akins, ss, Los Angeles HS

8. Tony Delmonico, ss, Farragut HS, Knoxville

9. Jared Mitchell, of, Westgate HS, New Iberia, La.

10. Hank Conger, c/1b, Huntington Beach (Calif.) HS

Its always like this and it is understandable.

Akins and Brooks got hurt. Tony Delmonico pulled a Stock and went to Tennessee a year early, where he hit .335/.421/.448 and was a fish all american and 2nd team SEC

There's no doubt it's going to flucuate dramatically espec. top 10s, but I find it odd that they have kids in the top 300 that I doubt will get drafted and have been in the top 300 the entire time.

It kicks soooo much ass to see Rowell from NJ, then two guys really close to me at Seton Hall Prep.

NJ never had so many guys being look at as first round picks in such a long time.

Hopefully none of those guys are like JM Gold.

there was a third guy from Seton Hall on the Aflac team, but his name escapes me. I believe it was a middle infielder. Christian Colon? Er no hes a socal kid.

10 • Steven Brooks • OF

There might not be a faster player than Brooks in attendance at this year's Aflac All-American game. He's turned in 60-yard-dash times near 6.4 seconds. His speed serves him well on the basepaths, as well as in center field.
27 • Evan Danieli • RHP

Seton Hall Prep, West Orange, N.J.

Bats: R Throws: R Height: 6-8 Weight: 225

Tall, strong and lean, Danieli has a prototypical pitcher's body and talent to match. His fastball has been clocked in the low 90s, but his bread and butter is a hard, nasty breaking ball which he can throw for strikes or bury in the dirt and make hitters chase it.

and of course Porcello.

If so, unless I'm overlooking some A/B FA from Tampa, Pittsburgh, or KC, the Cubs are the beneficiaries. This could put the Cubs as the first pick of the sandwich round.

The prospect of going 4th and 31st, that's pretty appealing.

Way to go Pierre!

Again, given how long the sandwich round is likely to be, the positioning within that round is pretty important, especially in what projects as a premium draft. Cubs could get somebody very talented at 31.

Craig - nice going. Your're absolutely correct. You may have already seen that Jim Callis in his 12/2 "Ask BA" indicated that the Cubs will indeed get the 31st pick. TB & KC did not have any departing FA's that were eligible for draft pick compensation, so the Cubs are locked in at #31 in addition to having the # 3 overall pick.

The sandwich round appears that it will be an entire full round (of close to 30 picks) once all the picks are awarded. Washington can't be too pleased with the compensation they're receiving for Soriano. In addition to their sandwich pick, our 2nd round pick going to WAS could be close to #60-65 overall once all the comp. picks have been awarded.

you know, i was thinking, and just thinking.... and i know it isnt true

but if the cubs were penalized by the four type A FA rule with Ramirez, then they should get compensation for Ramirez signing somewhere. That would be cool, because we'd get our second pick give up our third pick to the Nats and get the #32 pick.

its a shame it doesnt work that way!

It's probably like that Who's Who book, where if you buy the book, they'll put your name in it. Of 2000 guys, there's probably about 1800 slots open for purchase. I definitely remember in high school seeing the emergence of services that would put your name out there for a fee.

some places are like that, but allan simpson runs that site, he created BA. And given the close relationship with PG, theyve got a little more of a reputation to protect. Unlike BA, their sole concern is amateur baseball, so theyre probably the best at what they do.

From the names I know on that list as far as seen play, it's more accurate than the previous one, but much of it is based only on weekend showcase stuff (PG in Arkansas and the AC games in SD). Edited by UK

Believe me, FFXII will get in the way.

im nearly done with it, so probably not. Five weeks here, although I have to work some.

Phillippe Aumont seems to be rising. Wonder if theyre going to do a college one any time soon. Theyve had several top 10s from the HS side of the game. Of course the preseason college stuff should come out in January alternating with the NL top 10s.

"Usually when a pitcher is out of his element and routine, he'll want to postpone it, but he said it with complete sincerity," said U.S. coach Jason Hisey, a pitching coach at Pima (Ariz.) Community College. "From the moment we stepped on the field, he was ready to pitch. He was completely locked in."

Pima was where Donald Veal attended CC, unless I'm mistaken.
