Nice play Mabry. I'm not sad the scoreless streak is over. Takes a distraction away from him. He can now start a new streak.

He's still got his consecutive save streak which is MUCH more important than a scoreless streak.

I'm glad the streak is over in a game like this and not in a 1 run game.

Cubs win!

True. I never thought of it like that.

Dempster just seems to only give up runs when he can afford to give up runs. That guy is magical!

Agreed.

Michael Barrett on the postgame: "Why don't they just accuse of cheating. It's better than asking to check the ball all of the time."

It's the truth. And those are fighting words. Maybe what this Cubs team needs is a little anger from a guy like Barrett.

LOL, you tell 'em Bare

How many times did they accuse us of cheating? And I agree with Barrett - that's totally classless.

Or how many times did they ask to see the ball, rather?

Barrett sarcastically said they asked to see the ball 30 times. :D

I'm glad the Cubs won. It was getting depressing around here.

In other news, the Astros just beat the pirates. My G-d, have they played anybody yet?

they really haven't played on the road yet either. Just 5 games on the road.

It's like last season, when it seemed like the White Sox were playing the Royals 35-40 times. I can't wait to get a shot at them.

Cubs! Woo! Win! Woo! Cubs! Woo! Win! Woo!

Seriously, Ronnie Woo Woo is a total tool. A couple years ago I was at Murphy's after a game with some BeerBuddies. Ronnie Woo Woo comes over to the table and does his "Cubs Woo, Cubs Woo!" routine. As soon as he's done he asks us to buy him a beer. To which we said "Umm...no". He then moves on to the table next to us and does the same routine with the same result. He basically went around the bar doing the routine until someone bought him a beer. When he's done with his free beer, he starts all over again.

Same night my friends and I had left Murphy's at a point and returned several hours later. Sure enough, there's Ronnie still doing the routine. The day for us was something like 14 hours of power drinking, Ronnie was doing his pathetic routine for free drinks the entire time.

The guy is a complete loser.

4-2 sounds so much nicer than 3-3. :D

Its put a smile on my face, for sure. And Maddux's ERA? What gives? \:D/

Actually, now I think, what about my fantasy points for Maddux? Wicked smart.
