Jones is a lot more tolerable when he doesn't suck.

That's the best assessment I have ever read on this bd. regarding any player. Honesty is refreshing.

I could watch Pujols hit all day. Now, watching Jones swing gives me the opposite type of feeling.

hahaha

If you believe in luck you can write that statement each time Jonesy is up. :D

dude, and that was an inside fastball. i didn't see that coming, considering he swings at and misses that pitch 99% of the time.

Cuse: See the above. I've watched Jones whiff at inside fastballs just about every day since he got here. He might finally be making an adjustment.

Well, if he closed that whole, a la Lee, we'd have something.

Poor Murt is really struggling. I'm convinced that he will turn it around eventually, but I hope its in time before Dusty starts looking for other options...

See if a Cub made the play Pujols just made, he'd break his ankle and be done for the year.

Wow, Pujols hit it so hard that Ramirez backed up a few steps after catching.

This game looks like a good shot at a win, but this is exactly how it looked up until the 6th yesterday...

No it doesn't because Maddux is on the mound instead of Rusch!!

Bob: Would've been easy for Pujols to slide over the top of that bag and have Neifi stomp on that right ankle...

ndistops: ...but he's not a Cub, so he didn't.

my deepest fear is that Hendry and Baker have given up, and is the reason Gooz is up. A feature start for a possible trade for Kearns???
