It's somewhat sad. If he could've stayed healthy, he'd be racing Bonds to get to Ruth and Aaron

At this point if I'm Griffey, I have double knee replacement and take a whole year off. Then I come back much healthier and ready to play again. He'd most likely have to move to LF and take it a little easier in the field, but atleast this way he'd probably make it through an entire season.

Absolutely. He was one of the top 5 players in the game when he was with Seattle. I argue that Bonds would have been a HOFer with just his career before he took roids and I think if you take Griffey's career through the 2000 season, he's the same way.

 

BTW, he played 145 games with the Reds in 2000.
