Scully rules. I recognize snippets of stories from tons of different sources. He must have read fifteen papers and magazines a day for years. I can't imagine doing that without the internet.

Maddux pitched an amazing game. Let's hope it's the 85th best pitched Cubs game of the season!

Great line by Scully...

"He might as well bring chalk and a chalkboard out there with the way he's pitching."

Maddux is taking them to school.

Except for "Tad" and "Jack", I've really enjoyed listening to him. I don't know that I've ever heard him before.

what are you new?

Well, I don't live anywhere near LA, and I've never had MLB.TV before. Even if he does nationally televised games, I rarely get to see games on TV anyway.

he's vin sculley!!!ok wait, maybe its not so much you being new as it des me being old :x

Probably a dumb question, but who's vin sculley?

OML...you don't know Vin Scully?

nope... do tell.

Good thing Dempster closed down a 4 run lead last night. I think this is his 8th appearance in 12 games. Dusty hasn't been able to kill his ineffective starters so he's murdering his closer. How many non-save appearances has Dempster made now?

This is a save appearance, but Maddux should've stayed in.

Bruce, how much easier is it when the team you're following is winning? Do the players and personnel give you more access when they are in a better mood?
Q&A everytime the guy shows his face? come on give the guy a break

Yes, and with all the off days it means he's pitching about every other day... he'll be fine. Not to mention a lot of his outings have been pretty quick.

In-n-Out Burger closes at 10. He wanted to grab a shower and change before heading over. ;)

Much more fun to cover a winner. Way, way more fun. Guys are in a good mood every day, and that makes it easier to work.

Think Babe Ruth, but for broadcasters. In his prime, the man was a veritable poet. Not too shabby these days either.
