I also think that West Tenn is playing an affiliate of the Cardinals as well.

No, the Tennessee Smokies are an affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Will be interesting to see if Hagerty can bounce back and find the plate. I'd guess he wasn't so awful all spring, or he'd not be in that rotation. But having gone Blass last year, then doing so again last week, I could well imagine that playing with his mind, "Is it happening again?" and every time there isn't a pitch that goes right, he immediately degenerates into "It's happening again..." spiral.

I'd think 2-4 rotten starts, and it may be pretty easy to pull the plug. They've kept saying that Blasko is all fine and good, just being extra careful. Another few weeks into the Florida spring, if Blasko really was close to 100% when camp broke, he might be a ready alternative if Hagerty dives.

Hopefully it will be a non-issue, and Hagerty will show up today, and flash some 6K/1BB control and be on the road to success.

But with all the pitchers they've got stockpiled, I just can't imagine there won't be somebody else who might benefit from some rotation opportunity if/when it becomes evident that Hagerty's not up for it.

Valdez had an unhittable pitch on the inside corner to strike out the final batter in Nashville's 3rd.

through 3 innings, Valdez has allowed 4 hits, 2 K's, 0 BB's, and 0 runs.

bottom 3rd, no score.

Wow, sounds like Rohlicek really bad mouthed Raul Valdes, the I-Cubs and the whole organization when he was cut.

Elaborate?

The announcer said he saw a story where Russ asked questions about why he was cut while others (he named names, including Valdes) were still on the team. He was also mad that he was cut after he did 30-minute running drills and not before. I'm going to go hunt for the article later.

Nashville's starting pitcher hit in the fingers on a comebacker. He's staying in the game.

Pie lined one....just foul! Would have been an easy triple.

With two strikes, took a ball and fouled off two pitches before flying out to center.

1 for 2 today so far.

Felix Pie up to lead off the bottom of the 4th inning.

Pie fouls a bunt attempt, count goes to 0-1.

Pie hits a line drive just foul down the RF line, count goes to 0-2.

Pie fouls a pitch back, 0-2.

Pie takes ball 1 low and away, 1-2.

Pie fouls a pitch back, 1-2.

Pie flies out to RCF.

Restovich had a leadoff triple, but Sing grounded out. Jamal Strong then hit a grounder and the throw came home getting Restovich out, barely. Still 1-0 Nashville.

Hagerty had a pretty rough and long first inning as he allowed 3 runs, only 1 of them was earned though. 2 walks and 2 K's also for Luke.

Hoffpauir hits a monstrous HR and the Jaxx take a 1-0 lead in the 2nd!
