I've got the Mets game on in my office, they're playing Washington on their new network. Soriano just stole 2nd as LoDuca ripped his own mitt off trying to make the transition.

Glavine in his first spot of trouble, 1st/2nd 1 out.

Is it just me, or is Washington's lineup going to be REALLY bad once Vidro, Johnson and Guillen have their inevitable injuries?

Also, why on earth is Randolph hitting LoDuca second in that lineup?

Because that is where LoDuca normally hits, and baseball people give an inordinate amount of respect to Paul and his contactability.

The Mets network's truck lost power, so they are doing playbyplay and analysis from the studio and showing, what I assume, is ESPN's feed.

Lieber did a good job showing he's no ace, and that Philly really should have traded for pitching this offseason.

5-0 Cards in the 4th. Rolen just hit a GS, now it's 10-0

Texas got on the board, though they're losing 5-2 in the 7th. Hank and Ortiz each went deep down the RF line.

And with the type of hitter Beltran is at Shea Stadium he's a natural for the two spot.

Poor Jon Lieber.

So here's the question: How many 1-0 games does Florida lose with Dontrelle on the mound?

Also, why was he taken out after 5 ip? What was his pitch count?

I'm not certain about his pitch count but it was well pitched on both sides. The only run scored on a WP. The Marlins young pitchers (and JoeBo) were impressive. Of course, Houston still has a weak offense.

I traded Lieber, but it won't go into effect until Thursday...traded him in a package with V. Wells for Pierre and Borowski...really mad it didn't go into effect after a day.

I waived Lieber and added Reitsma. So far so good (through today at least)
