I meant to post on this thread but ended up posting one level higher.

I can't tell you how much I appreciate this thread. Fred thank you so much for taking the time to post the play by play. Without you, I would only have MLB box scores to tell me what's up.

Williamson pitched today? I guess he's ok!

So Williamson only pitched to 1 batter? That's not a good sign...

But he did pitch nonetheless.

what the heck is wrong with Cedeno today? He's suppose to be a defensive guru but he almost made his third error of the game there, the 1st baseman had to tag the guy. He needs to work on his throwing.
i came late, can anyone tell me if his 2 errors were throwing or fielding, or was it one of each?

Well I know the second pulled Derek Lee off the bag, the Seattle announcer seemed to doubt that was the case and Dusty argued the call, but when you come close to pulling Lee off the bag you have made a really bad throw. Im not sure on the first error.

thanks Vine

He pitched one and a third innings, if I'm not mistaken.

That's what I'm not sure about. If you look up the box score posted on this site, the Cubs pitchers combined for 10 innings.

I was just going by Fred's box score. Fred doesn't make mistakes...ever. 8)

Really?

5.7 + 1.3 + 0.7 + 0.3 + 1.0 + 1.0 = 10.0 innings not 9.0

I beg to differ.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the Cubs are constantly coming from behind (late in games) against mediocre pitching? If this is truly the case; it does not bode well for our offense.

Much of it is because we continue to run only half of our regulars out there. I think that with the entire starting lineup out there we'd be scoring alot more runs.

Does anyone know if you have MLB audio where the link is to hear the archived game? I was locked out of my house for the final half hour of the game and I want to hear the late home runs!!

Now that Grissom officially retired this mean it's most likely Pagan will make the team. And he will be a great addition! Pinch hiting, and especially pinch running!!

I screwed up. Williamson only faced one batter.

The link is on the same page. When the game is archived MLB changes the symbol next to the radio call letters from'L' to 'A'
