That was just an inning full of nasty stuff. They're fouling a bunch off, though, and he's already at 41 pitches.

He should be done after throwing 72 pitches. Nice outing. Really settled down. I also don't recall him ever throwing a fastball at 97 mph or above. Only a few at 96. His 4-seamers stayed around 94-95.

 

His line:

 

4 IP, 0 runs, 2 hits, 2 walks, 5 strikeouts, 4 ground balls, 2 fly balls, 44 strikes, 28 balls

he was absolutely filthy moving the ball in and out, up and down. no-hit type stuff.

Oh, didn't know Federico Baez is in. Nearly gave up a HR to Cabrera, but it just died in deep center.
