Give Kobe and LeBron the exact same 11 supporting players, playing the exact same 82 game schedule. Whose team ends the season with more wins?

Kobe, barely. I just think that if Kobe had Ilgauskas (or if LeBron had Mihm if you want to look at it that way) that Kobe would be in a much better position to help his team win more games.

I take LeBron because he makes his teammates better.

I agree. LeBron is showing a maturity early on that is reminiscent of some of what made Jordan so great in the 90s. He's an explosive scorer and leader, but he also makes his team better. That's not to say that LeBron is Jordan or vice versa, but LeBron is impressive. Kobe is a dominant player, but I can't say the same praise about him.

Boy... Does it seem like people are against Kobe no matter what his opponent is?... and no matter what the outcome is? Due to the rape trial...

I really projected him to be the next Jordan... I guess he is... But his trial will always be a magnet that will pull him down a few notches.

that has nothing to do with my decision...i just think lebron is going to be better and make the people around him better.

Lebron cant be Jordan, he's not the killer that Mike was.

Until LeBron averages over 40 points a game - in an NBA Finals - against the team with the best record in the league (93 vs Suns), then MJ is still beyond LeBron-range discussion.

Or until James wins six titles.

I'm not saying Lebron is the next coming of Jordan. In fact, as much as I like Lebron, I highly doubt he'll reach the heights that Jordan reached as a player and leader. That being said, he's the closest thing we have had to Jordan since his 2nd retirement and he displays flashes of what made Jordan so great. However, there will never be another like Mike. Ever.

As much as I hate to say it, there will be a player that is better than MJ one day or another. It may not happen for another 10 or 20 years but it will happen.

No, he never will be that because he is a selfish player that doesn't get the most out of his teammates. Bash Jordan as much as you want for how he treated Cartwright or other players, he did it in a way to get them to play harder.
