He probably should have taken that extra money from Colorado. We're seeing that GM's are still oblivious to the fact that Coors pads stats, and he probably would have made a lot more next year.

 

Agreed. However, I thought he and St. Louis might make a good fit as I mentioned in another thread this morning.

Good call. This is a good move for the Cardinals.

The question arises...

 

Spivey or Luna? Both are RH'ed so a platoon is eliminated.

 

I'd probably start Luna and let Spivey hit his way into a starting spot or let Luna hit his way out of the starting spot.

However, baseball people also pay attention to stats like runs scored (cough Harold Reynolds cough), which will be much higher hitting second in the stl lineup than playing in colorado.
