I just wanted to give the heads up that it appears mlb.com will host the live press conference for Juan Pierre. Just goto the Cubs.com main page and there is a link you click in the headline and it brings you to MLBs streaming winter meetings live broadcast. (I didn't even know about this until I went looking for Pierre's conference)

I know there are Pierre threads already, and we can delete this after 4:00 p.m., but could we atleast leave this here so people can see this?

Just an FYI for everyone else out there... XM Radio's MLB channel (XM 175 for those equipped) has been a great resource for all things Winter Meetings. They are constantly interviewing GMs and Managers, and even though most of them say a lot more nothing than anything (Baker talking about hunting with Dibble), it's a pretty good way to get a fix. They also carry these press conferences live...

This is already mentioned in the pierre thread, do we really need another?

This is more information than I provided in the other thread. Thanks Giles Brothers!

I clicked the press conference link on Cubs.com and am getting video streaming of MLB.com Radio, so it appears at least that you might be able to actually watch the press conference. Just FYI.

No prob. And I don't mind this thread deleted in about a half hour. I just want to notify people about this. Some people might not know you can watch it live. Well 5 more min.!!

With the amount of joy I've had from being able to listen to Pat & Ron at work, and all the other awesome music choices they offer, I might as well! One of the best purchases I've ever made.

It's working now, thanks!

Yes, at least to me it was, because I wasn't going to read through 30 pages (non-premium) of bitching about Pierre's slappy tendencies, lack of an arm, overrated OBP, and overglorification of Nolasco and Pinto to find out when a news conference was.

This just in "Florida knows more about the Cubs system than I do" - Jimmy

(a bit of an exageration, Jim was surprised how well they knew his system)
