  1. OK, let's just say this deal goes through. Next year, we would have Soriano, Murton, Church, Pie, Jones, and Pagan. With only 3 starting spots available in the OF, I'm thinking that there would be a couple of trades to open up some spots and if so, who is gone?
  2. Good. because some of the trades mentioned were completely ridiculous.
  3. There is also 100% synergy between him, his scouts, and Cox. They let their young players play through their slumps at this level rather than jerking them back and forth between the minors and big league club. Can't argue there. The love for veterans is just crazy sometimes.-
  4. I'd take a flyer on him if the price was right. Maybe not for this year but certainly for next.
  5. If Murton got traded for Wigginton it goes to show you how bad of a GM Hendry is.
  6. Its the only explanation, because hes been horrible outside of ST and a few weeks in the bigs. I really hope Wood can come back up, and quit with this continuous shuffleing of the bullpen. I think Cherry looked much better than he did now. I say that because his velocity was up higher in ST than now. I think I remember him hitting 94-95 on the gun in ST and now he barely hits 90.
  7. ANother error for Soriano, what is wrong with him? He has become careless out there.
  8. Scott Hairston to the Padres for Leo Rosales per rotoworld.
  9. Dunn to the Nats, Church to the Cubs and prospects to Reds?
  10. Why is this guy still in the organization? He's damaged goods, time to move on.
  11. Let's hope Lou noticed that Murton was used against righties and lefties at AAA. Don't bring him up to start once a week and then wonder why he's not hitting. Agreed. Murton strikes me as the kind of player that needs consistent AB's to be good, he's not a bench player who can play sporadically and still hit.
  12. Yes it does it was like 668 or the channels right before MLB.(I'm In WC IND) Are we going to call up an outfield bat for this series with both Floyd and DeRosa d2d or are we going to play with a short bench? Ask and ye shall receive. Murton called up :)
  13. Marquis is stubborn and doesn't want to listen. It's been documented a couple of times already and even Lou has once hinted at that. He had the same problem when he was with the Cards. If we were to make the playoffs, I can definitely see a scenario where he is left off the playoff roster. He's not good, and for a sinkerballer he gives up a whole lot of fly balls and homers.
  14. Let's hope Murton can play a bit now that he's up. I wonder if his defense improved out in RF due to him being acclimated there in the minors.
  15. I would love Church but not if the cost is Pie.
  16. Oh man, likely trade I'm thinking.
  17. You might as well leave the idiot out there now.
