I don't see Tex as a possibility. The asking is probably too high and if you are going to trade for Tex, chances are you are looking for a long term deal for him. There's no way the Cubs do that now that the team is being sold.

Isn't Garland "pitching through pain" right now? Why would anyone trade for potentially damaged goods. I doubt anyone not named Jim Hendry would give up very much for Marquis. The Cubs have a much better chance of making a noticeable upgrade in RF or CF. While I think Marquis sucks, I think hes better than Garland and he's cheaper. I'd pick Garland over Marquis. -

I'm all for Dye in RF. I know his overall numbers look bad but I think he would be an upgrade over Floyd. -

Rios was on a tear last year until he got hurt. So far this year his numbers are comparable to his pre injury stats from last year. His current numbers are not a mirage.

I'd rather have Font 2B, DeRosa RF, Theriot SS than have Stairs RF, DeRosa 2B, Theriot SS. -
He does. He was on a radio show I believe last week and he was sincere. Felt bad for him, but at the same time you just have to produce.

If I see one person bitch about lolly-gaging around the bases I will puke. The Cubs need him to do this. Not try to get in-field hits or stretch a double. Yea!! I agree. The man hustled so hard to make it to 1st base and he jacked up his knees. We don't need surprises like that. He is our most valuable player, him and Z.
