    The BHawks are a fun team to watch. Did you guys see some of the passes Kane made? That guy has incredible moves. Both him and Toews are just fun to watch.

Very scary... That show always creeped me out for some reason. FYI, a Mets outsider I know believes this trade has actually already been completed, and voided by the commissioners office. The only way it can be voided by the commissioners office is if $1M or more are changing hands, correct? Jay Payton, come on down? Upon further read, I'm guessing you are being completely facetious. Ha, I didn't realize that at first but he did say outsider instead of insider :)

    Wow, you're right. He is terrible away. Marquis-like. He is absolutely dominant at home though but unfortunately our park won't be as kind to him.

    Now they are saying another team is after Roberts. I think I've refreshed enough on both boards. I'm going to wait until something is official, this is too much.

    If we can get Blanton, the offseason would be a tremendous success. I agree with this...it seems we need another starter more than a shortstop too. The possibility of having Dempster AND Marquis in the rotation is not a turn on. I think Blanton could help us win more than any of the available shortstops. Having both Dempster and Marquis as our 4th and 5th starter is going to hurt us. They are going to be so bad and I just wish both of them are gone.

    Trading for Bedard strengthens this team more than trading for Roberts.

    If we play DeRo at SS then the deal is worth it but unfortunately I don't see this staff making that move.

    That's realistic. I don't think we have what it would take to get Bedard unfortunately. And yes, I'd rather see Bedard here over Roberts.

    Great, we're overpaying in prospects for a guy who has admitted he used steroids, and is a slight upgrade over DeRosa. All because he is a lefty and is fast, it's ridiculous.

    We did but it was nothing official. Hendry and Littlefield wee talking about this during the winter meetings. Can he be as bad as the scout who wanted us to trade for Kendall? Can he be as bad as the scout who thought trading for Trachsel was a good idea? That remains to be seen.

    Them messing with Pie's swing looks to really affect his performance. This does seem more and more like a Corey situation. Let's hope that isn't the case.

    It sucks that we don't have any prospects in the top 10. None of our prospects are rated in the A's and we only have 2 as B+'s.

    He's a moron. He should have sold his veteran players for prospects last year but he was so dead set on competing this year that he made empty promises to them to get them to sign longterm deals with the White Sox. He completely missed out on FA's. He looked foolish when he signed Uribe to a long-term deal only to trade Garland who is one of their most consistent pitchers for a shortstop who is already getting old. When he won the world series I thought the guy had a clue, and was actually arguing with some people on here that it wasn't luck. I was wrong. He is a terrible GM who got lucky with the WS ring.

    I can't speak to Roberts since I haven't seen the story, but I don't think Pettitte gets any credit for his "admission." He gets credit in my mind only so far as he didn't deny it. Same with Vina. Vina's story was so weak though that I didn't buy a word of it. He was trying to admit it while dodging responsibility for it the whole time. I don't buy any of the "it was just for rehab" stories. And frankly, I don't buy Roberts "only once" story. Maybe one cycle, but I doubt he went through the trouble of getting an injection, and then stopped right there. It's an "I didn't inhale" excuse. Although I really don't blame any of these guys for not being 100% truthful about it. It's got to be embarrassing. Agreed. No way you only take one shot and that's it. He probably did a minimum of one cycle. He probably saw his balls shrink and decided enough is enough :)
