  1. If you can get picks or another player that makes sense, get rid of both of them. Have Thabo as SG and Rose at PG.
  2. Maddux was an above average starter all 3 years(His 2nd go-around) with the Cubs. not 2006 Average ERA+ for starters is ~96. (Admittedly, not the best way to judge things, but it's quick n dirty) He was horrible for the last couple months before he was traded. He was fine in 2004 and 2005. And he was really good the first couple months of '06. So what. As a whole, he sucked in 2006. You take away his first month of 2006 and you can see just how bad he was.
  3. What do you mean why isn't he considered? It looks as though McCann is leading the All-Star votes and his numbers aren't as good as Soto's although there are very good.
  4. Why isn't Soto considered for the All-Star vote? He has better numbers than anybody as a catcher. Rather impressive.
  5. No thanks to Maddux. He was pretty bad for us before he was traded to LA. Let him enjoy the rest of his career in the NL West ballparks where his numbers can stay good.
  6. Our minor league system is a joke right now.
  7. Wow, I have to tell you that I never expected Demp to be this good as a starter. Good win. We have one of the best records in baseball, you gotta love it.
  8. Only problem with that is, we've said that before and he's still in the rotation.
  9. Hendry's stupidity never ceases to amaze me..Let's all hope a competent owner buys the Cubs and clears house from top to bottom.
  10. Even though it seems Lilly hasn't regained his velocity he seems to have still figured it out.
  11. I don't know if Samardj was a Hendry or Wilken call but I have to tell you so far I haven't been impressed with Wilken and his picks. It's been a long time since we've had a consensus top 10 prospect in the minors.
  12. Longest leash in the pound. Lou is starting to get on my nerves with his Dusty-like veteran love. Hill, even though he wasn't good was still much better than Marquis yet he's in currently in the minors. Marquis, is still with us and still sucking. It's so frustrating.
  13. This veteran fetish the Cubs have is so annoying..
  14. Let's hope he gets pulled. Something tells me Lou isn't so fond of Marquis anyway.
  15. Coming late to the party but I just wanted to add that Marquis needs to be pulled from the rotation. The guy sucks and has no business pitching over Hill.
  16. Agreed. Chad Fox has no business on the 25-man roster.
  17. Signing Edmonds is a TERRIBLE move. There is no excuse for this kind of stupidity but we always seem to see the same BS with this organization.
  18. I can't believe they didn't take out Gallardo. It was obvious he wasn't throwing the same after the knee injury. Good for us though, stupid move by Yost, very stupid.
  19. It was kind of a bland draft for us. Angelo didn't get silly reaching for unknown players as in the past. Let's face it folks, the Bears want to win now, they don't have time to draft a QB and WR and have them run the show within 2 years. I think a lot of the Qbs available in this draft class had a lot of ? marks. It was a weak draft class and I have no problem them drafting a good one next year. We needed a LT and a RB over a WR and QB. Far more important to us for the first two years. I'm ok with the draft.
  20. Wow, pretty damn good prediction.
  21. That was a terrible trade for them last year. Was it the current GM the one that traded for him?
  22. looks like Howry is getting his velocity back
