  1. I hope you're being sarcastic. Hes abotu to give them win #3.
  2. Why not Williamson? If healthy, he will be very good.
  3. I don't see Cameron being much of an upgrade compared to Burnitz so I have to say NO.
  4. It's going to be a rough offseason and I just have no faith in Hendry. Can he sign FAs? Will he make trades to solidify our OF? I personally do not think so.
  5. Maybe he means.. http://sandiego.padres.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/team/player.jsp?player_id=121955
  6. Here we go again with the Farnsworth saga... Anyways, it is not a good feeling to have your closer come in and blow a save or give up the winning run. The fact that he gave up two home runs in his last two appearances is troubling and if I was an Astros fan I would be concerned. Jenks has no experience closing and I am really surprised to see him not use his curveball at all. One thing about Jenks is his fastball is thrown down the middle a lot, so I wasn't surprised to see him get hit against Vizcaino.
  7. That's pretty funny. Way to go Cusack!! As somebody who was born and raised in Chicago, I want the WSox to win it against the Astros who I do not like at all. But, I would never wear a WSox hat and pretend to be a fan.
  8. Knowing the Cubs luck that might come to fruition but if it ever did, oh boy.
  9. Wow, without Giles we have no option but to trade. Looking to be a disaster of an offseason.
  10. Considering what we have been through with Wood and Prior, that is why I think it would be best for us to drop Rusch an use that cash (and more)and look to sign Burnett.
  11. I believe the Cubs will offer him the same salary as last year. He would be crazy to ask for a raise.
  12. Career years or not, i want Dusty out of here.
  13. Here's hoping that Rusch declines his option and goes elsewhere. We can do better. It's time we start looking at the top tier instead of middle to low tier players. No more cheapness...
  14. I would like to see Charlotte and Vegas.
  15. Giles would be a great pickup, but two things come to mind..Does Hendry even want Giles? How much would it take to get him here?
  16. I would def like to see Fontenot on the bench for us.
  17. Agreed. Him being injured so frequently will cost him the HOF.
  18. I voted for Spiderman but my all-time favorite is Wolverine.
  19. A number of possible reasons: 1. Guzman is going to need work in Iowa next season before going to Wrigley. 2. Hill is a work in progress and probably will spend the year in the bullpen. 3. Maddux may not be back next year. 4. Wood may not return to form. 5. Williams may be trade bait. Maddux unfortunately will be back next year. If you question Wood's injury then it's best to add teh extra 4-5 mil and get a better starter than Rusch. No more cheap tactics.
  20. What the....WHy Rusch?? That money can be used to get a good starter. If it was up to me I would let Rusch walk. If we want insurance for a SP we might as well go all out and get a top FA available one. Sounds like Hendry is up to the same ol same ol. I bet you Neifi and Macias are next..oh God.
  21. Let's give Williamson a full year before we call it a failure.
  22. I would definitely like to sign him. I personally do not feel that he would be ready by ST but he can be a big lift mid-season. I would also sign him to a 2 year deal.
