  1. It would be really cool if the Bears defenders carried him outside and forced him to eat dirt. That's dominance. Haha, ok I hope that he eats turf, how's that. ;)
  2. I have been looking forward to this match up ever since the last game of last year when Brad Johnson was acting the fool against 2nd and 3rd string players. I have never liked Brad Johnson and nothing would satisfy me more than to see him eat dirt next week.
  3. I would think that what we see as the #1 priority will never be what Angelo sees. Didn't he have a reputation of ignoring O line in Tampa? First priority is extending Briggs, Vasher, and Tommie Harris. The D is the identity of the team, the strength of the team. They have to keep these guys to stay at such a dominant level. Even a minor drop off in defense could kill this team because the offense while improved, isn't near strong enough. Priority #2 is the O-Line. Hopefully one of these young receivers can establish themself as a big time player so priority #3 won't have to be a WR. i get the feeling that angelo isnt going to re-sign briggs. he's arrogant enough to think that he can replace briggs like he replaced colvin. Do you think Briggs is worth Urlacher money? Because the asking price is very similar.
  4. Another shut out for our favorite team!
  5. I know a while back when Lee went down somebody posted a rumor of us trading for this guy from the Rockies. He's been pretty damn good for the Royals since he's been traded. .311 AVG .362 OBP 6HR 29RBI in 42 games. It would have been a nice pickup for us.
  6. Dusty pulled a fast one us and put in Howry instead of Dempster. DAMN!
  7. Don't worry folks, we still have Dempster on our side. Here's hoping he is his usual self.
  8. I really don't think there was a "too soon." If his elbow is going to blow out after like six innings upon returning from the DL, chances are that no amount of rest and rehab was going to fix things. I think he had probably passed the point at which his elbow could take much more pitching without the ligament going. You may be right but really nobody knows.
  9. One who meets or exceeds expectations.
  10. Too bad we ended up with Jacque JOnes and Pierre at the other OF spots.
  11. Agreed. Also, for the past 2 years his avg has been about .260(.385 obp in 2005 and 356 obp this year) and def a little shy from .270 which pecota projects. IMO, Edmonds shouldn't even be an option. He is the epitome of anti-Cub. i don't understand what "anti-cub"means. and i also don't understand how he won't be much better than pierre. If you don't understand what anti-cub means I don't know what to tell you. I'm not saying he is going to be worse than Pierre but I personally think we should look at better options than Edmonds and Pierre at CF.

  13. I think they're getting a bit ahead of themselves in that article, it doesn't sound like they know anything yet: I think he most likely will need TJ. http://www.webmd.com/hw/health_guide_atoz/aa136667.asp
  14. Agreed...and that is the scary part. I seriously don't believe that. I think it's just Dusty being a moron.
  15. My friend was right. He came back too soon from injury. I understand that making the playoffs is really important but you do not risk ruining a possible superstar if you do not have to.
  16. Theriot should be a MUST START every game until the end of season. Starting Bynum at 2B is ludicrous!
  17. Travelle Wharton sucks and single-handedly tried to get Delhomme killed in the first Bears game and the NFC title game. And I'm so used to Carolina seasons being submarined by injuries that it's hard to be surprised. This would make three seasons in a row that preseason title hopes have been dashed by a spate of injuries. That's a little harsh don't you think? I will say that he was terrible during the regular season against the Bears but the protection in the playoffs was amazing for Delhomme. Delhomme had so many fumbles last season caused by getting hit from his blind side that it was embarrassing. Heck, it happened 2 more times in the Atlanta game. Who is taking over now at LT now thatr he's out.

  19. I really wish Izturis was not on this team.
