Why doesn't Ryu get a start? Since he returned from the minors he has given up only one run in eight innings? Why keep running Walrond and Guzman (one quality start out of ten opportunities) and never give Ryu a start? I know he pitched poorly when he had the opportunity earlier in the year--but so did Hill.

Prior to today, September 13, Matt Murton has a batting average of .347, slugging average of .544, and obp of .405 for the months of July, August, and September. That's only 2 1/2 months, and we know a short success does not guarantee the future (see Corey Patterson, first half of 2003). Nonetheless, it shows promise, and we're unlikely to find a free agent with better production in the free agent market. Let's concentrate on other needs--and they are many
