I don't think so. Why stop trying to score runs? I know it's unlikely the Cubs come back...but the game's not over yet. I believe that until the last out is made, a team should never try to stop scoring. If it upsets the Cubs, maybe the Cubs shouldn't play so bad. :shrug:

It was something Bruce Miles either said on this site, or in one of his articles. I don't have the exact quote on me. It was in the "Deal For Adam Dunn soon" thread. Everyone was wetting their pants about a deal of Hill/Mitre/Patterson for Dunn, and Bruce came in and said that there was no such deal, and that Hendry wouldnt even trade Hill straight up for Dunn. Obviously that doesnt mean that the Reds offered us that deal, but if Bruce said it, I'm pretty much obliged to take him at his word that he knows Hendry wouldnt go for it. Then I guess it shows the original quote was made up. The quote was made up, but the fact that Hendry wouldnt trade Hill for Dunn, straight up is true. Based on what? Based on Bruce Miles saying it. I guess you're calling him a liar then. That was Bruce's opinion at the time, just not a fact or a quote from Hendry. How do you know it was Bruce's opinion? Maybe Hendry told him that he wasn't going to trade Hill straight up for Dunn.

I'll give you the last 2, but I happen to like interleague play. I know a lot of people like interleague play. I just never got into it. I think if interleague play is going to happen, then every team in each league should play each other - 6 games against each team in the other league and then the rest against your own league...maybe more in your own division. I also really don't like that the AL has less teams and that one division can have only 4 teams while another division can have 6. Even it out and then play. Just my opinion. :D

I'm with you, dude. Contract some teams and get rid of the wild card. There was nothing wrong with the system pre 94. Oh, boo hoo hoo, the Giants won 103 games and didnt make the play offs. Cry me a river. In recent years, the only pennant race has been the race for the wild card. Ditto. I was a fan of pre-94. I don't like the realignment and playoff system...nor do I like interleague play, the DH and the ASG deciding HFA for the WS. :pukel:

I'd love to see Wood traded but his value is way too low right now. That's why they need him in the pen. My hunch is that Boston would like to unload Manny's remaining salary and bad attitude in the offseason. Wood, Murton and Patterson is nice compensation. Boston's one of the few franchises that can absorb Wood's health issues. Here's a question. The Cubs got Murton from Boston...so either Boston didn't want him or Chicago really did...so, if Boston didn't want him, why would they want him back and if Chicago really wanted him, why would they give him up? Genuinely curious.

I think I'd rather have the Cardinals win because if the Cubs are going to lose to the Cardinals, I'd rather know they lost to the best team in baseball. Also, maybe having the World Series champs in your own division might spark the team a bit more the next year. :shrug: Hopefully, anyway.

I just got to watch his speech yesterday. I loved it. Just about everything he said is the reason why he's my favorite player. No player will ever replace him to me. I wish more players had his attitude and pride.

I haven't seen a game in what seems like forever. I don't care how bad they are, I'll watch every game I have an opportunity to. And, I have that opportunity tonight.

So all i'm missing but not being Premium is some different Emoticons? There's more features than just emoticons as far as board features go. There's some more bbcode options, the ignore feature, and some others that I'm surely missing And no ads, I believe.
