  1. What the hell are they doing? This is the same cruddy playcalling as last week...chuck it down field and hope something good happens. Don't look now, but Grossman's interceptions might surpass his touchdown passes in this game alome. He's now at 18/16.
  2. According to this, the following players from the Cubs are eligible: P Bobby Brownlie, INF Mike Fontenot, C Jake Fox, INF Richard Lewis, 3B Casey McGehee, P Billy Petrick, P Andy Shipman, OF Jesus Valdez, P Randy Wells, P Jesus Yepez
  3. How dare people question whether Gabor Paul II Bako deserves his own thread. Thank God he is no longer a Cub.
  4. Oh yeah, give me 1 example of a team that didn't work for. No statistics, please. Last years Cubs.
  5. Jim Hendry might be on the same wavelength. As one unnamed agent said courtesy of the Tribune: Just sign one big one (Jason Schmidt, please) and bargain shop for the other. I'd rather commit to one stud than overpay for a couple of mediocrities. Wade Miller is already in the fold, Cotts can start if need be, plus you have a bevy of starting pitchers getting their first taste from last year that you can choose from (the M&M boys: Marshall, Mateo, and Marmol). And that's not counting Mark Prior. Seeing a guy like Adam Eaton get 3/24, I'd rather not go in that direction. Anyhow, it appears the Cubs are unlikely to make a big splash before the winter meetings. So don't expect a Zito or Schmidt signing before then. Plus, according to the Tribune, it appears that the Cubs put in a bid for Igawa. Considering the free agent market, he might be a steal.
  6. The Grossman bandWGN has derailed.
  7. They still have a (slight) chance if they can stop them here.
  8. He..........had............all..........day.
  9. Time for the defense to redeem themselves. BTW, we could care less about the travel schedule of Joe Buck and company.
  10. It's sad that Tom Brady has better open field moves than Thomas Jones.
  11. TJ actually made a nice block for once.
  12. Apparently, blocks are now personal fouls.
  13. What the hell is with these refs?
