  1. Maynard has been pretty crappy. Kind of like last year's play-off game. And now the Seahawks will have great field position.
  2. Nice time for the Bears' first sack!
  3. he sensed, why do you think he was frantically running backwards? Not on that play particularly, but on previous plays when the Seahawks got pressure. Some QB's have that six sense, Grossman doesn't. people say that brees can't sense pressure either, but jeff garcia is apparently great at it. clearly its a deciding factor. I can tell you, from watching Brees, he is a lot better at it than Grossman.

  5. Grossman is awful. He has absolutely no ability to sense pressure, or avoid it.
  6. Hester. :x That had the potential to be a nice return, too.
  7. Oh great, the new sod is taking out Bear players.
  8. Hester makes me nervous. Please, my blood pressure can't take it.
  9. Shhh just let him be. He's in his own little Cardinals world. So when will we hear our first Bartman reference? I expect it even when the Cubs are not playing.
  10. Urlacher~! It looked like he could have intercepted that.
  11. ...and just like that. Beautiful deep ball there, Rex.
  12. Uh Buck, that wasn't a sack, nimrod.
  13. Is he versatile? Never mind... Cubs add another do-everything Perez Kill me now.
  14. Always the bridesmaid... The club hopes Newhan, 33, adds another left-handed bat and provides additional versatility. MLB.com Newhan, 33, adds another left-handed bat and provides additional versatility. New York Times "David is a versatile player who can help us in so many spots on the field," Mets general manager Omar Minaya said. "We couldn't be more pleased to have him in our organization." FoxSports.com Damnit Jimbo, you're slipping. Now who are the Cubs going to get to fill the versatility gap? (And no, DeRosa doesn't count since he'll be starting.)
  15. Headline from Dallas newspaper: Versatile Hairston returns to Rangers Great signing for the Rangers, you can never have too much versatility.
  16. To make room for Conine on their 40-man, the Reds DFA'd Brendan Harris. I wouldn't mind seeing the Cubs bring him back.
  17. Pretty much. The Buccaneers did nothing in the first half and looked like they were dead, down 24-3 with 5:15 remaining in the 3rd Q; but Rattay engineered a nice drive after a nice return by Torrie Cox to make the score 24-10. Then Hester fumbled the ensuing kick-off and TB cashed in with another TD to make it 24-17. After the Bears put together a nice drive to seemingly put it in the bag (31-17), Rattay came back and torched the Bears on successive drives - in between a Bear 3 and out - with TD passes of 64 and 44 yards to tie it up. At least at that point, the Bear defense stepped it up and played well.
