    Don't forget the immortal Manny Alexander. Although he was never charged so I suppose he has plausible deniability. Hard to believe that Manny Alexander has gotten major league at-bats in each of the last three seasons. Even harder to believe is that none of those at-bats came while playing for Dusty-led Chicago Cub squadrons.

    Lou Piniella speech (at a Cub Caravan stop, I am willing to guess)... Lots of "Louuuu" chants, but the biggest response comes when Lou mentions that Wood and Prior are healthy. Listen for all of the derisive cheers and catcalls. If I am not mistaken, Lou responds with, "if you can believe it." ---

    Damn, I'm old. I still have Super Bowl XX on tape (I was 14 years old at the time) as well as the Cubs clinching in '84 and and '89. I guess the closer you are to realizing your own mortality, the more you panic/realize that the Cubs may never win a World Series in your lifetime.

    I'm as much a Bear fan as I am a Cub fan, but I would still trade it all in for a Cub World Series.
