  1. Not bad for a guy who looks like this... http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/images/2007/03/02/XUk25jaF.jpg Rock stars and baseball players...what a life.
  2. LOL, he must have been added late. Maddux was suppose to start (opted for MiL game instead). Maddux fears the Cubs.
  3. Just tuning in. Caught the DLee home run which was friggin sweet, but these green caps are too distracting.
  4. Did Guzman even record a strike out? It's kind of frustrating to watch because he has been ahead of most of the hitters.
  5. Apparently an alien has inhabited the body of Juan Uribe.
  6. Ron Santo is officially on the Guzman for 5th starter bandwagon.
  7. He'll have plenty of chances in Triple-A this year.
  8. Yep. He has 194 HBPs in his professional (majors + minors) playing career.
  9. Upper mid 80's fastball + poor control = getting lit up. Hopefully we see Guzman put his best foot forward.
  10. DeRosa has been the best Rosa in this game so far.
  11. I was looking at Mike Kinkade's stats and I never realized he was such an HBP machine. Hard to believe that over his last two minor league seasons, he's gotten hit by 52 pitches.
  12. Dude, Meche was a much sounder signing. It would have been nice to follow that last half inning, but the announcers spent practically the entire time talking about Bartman. I kid you not.
  13. I can't believe these Royal announcers. They spent the entire first half of the inning criticizing the Soriano signing. Among other things, he's not clutch, he's not a clubhouse leader, he doesn't have enough RBIs relative to home runs, he strikes out too much for a lead-off hitter (I've never understood this logic), and he has a poor BA with 2 outs with RISP. It's not enough to simply state that his production doesn't justify his contract. They actually concede that he puts up great numbers, he's a 40/40 guy by golly! No, their big critique is that, while he has the numbers, he's not "impactful" enough. Apparently "impact" being measured by clutch+leadership+RBI-HR. Now they are talking Bartman. Kill me.
  14. I'm with them. I don't know why they keep on referring to him as a mascot.
  15. The grand slam was disappointing, but the 3 strike outs were encouraging.
  16. The old guy is Jerry Coleman, and yes he is really, really old. Kind of like Harry in his later years, but without the oversized tongue. He's also in the Hall-of-Fame. I like how he has like three different mispronunciations for Theriot. "Pee-uh."
  17. One thing I'll never miss about Maddux, his complete inability to hold baserunners.
  18. Didn't he lead the rebel alliance and breathe heavily? It's a trap!
  19. I wonder if JJ sold his soul over the off-season?
