  1. Just out of curiosity, how come...is it so they can't go after any other FA's? He's a player in decline and I don't think he'll stick at SS (maybe fore 1 year). Going forward which do you think is more likely - 06 or 07 ARod? In decline? Huh? He just had the best year of his 14 year career. ARod is quite simply not even close to a player that is in decline.
  2. So what does Donny Baseball do if the Yanks go with Girardi? I wouldn't imagine he'd be interested in being the bench coach (if Joe even wanted him). I also can't see him going to any other team in any capacity.
  3. Text messages? I wonder if Scott Boras texts like a 14 year old. Something like, "yo bri...arod g2g" AROD IS FREE AGENT, LOL, G2G KBYE In all seriousness, this is huge. The best player in baseball is now a free agent. Hendry will have to comment on it at some point (hopefully soon), it will be interesting to see how he responds.
  4. What a liar. Right, Dusty. It was Hendry's idea to go out and get Neifi Perez, Lenny Harris, Tom Goodwin, etc. I really really hate Dusty Baker.
  5. I went to the Blues game last night and had a blast. I hadn't been to a hockey game in probably ten years, but I really enjoyed myself. I wouldn't know where to start though if I were to start getting into hockey. There's so little that I know.
  6. Go Rockies! I haven't been paying attention, but what are the Red Sox going to do with Ortiz and Youkillis during the games in Colorado?
  7. Floyd speaking so openly about his desire to go to Florida leads me to think that Hendry has either already told him that he won't be brought back, or has now made Hendry decide that he's not interested.
  8. Yeah, I see what rocket is saying. But if it comes down to 1) letting some random person that I don't know go to a game, or 2) spending an hour of my time buying and selling tickets, and in turn making thousands of dollars in that hour... I'm going with option two every single time.
  9. I had about 40 open at work this morning, but the page kept freezing up. I'm jealous of those of you who were able to get through and are now, as a result, going to make thousands.
  10. Yeah, I really had no idea. Just tossing it out there. So does anyone know how it was supposed to work? Was it Virtual Waiting Room style where you can open up a bunch of windows?
  11. Is Jacksonville's D really this bad? Or is it just a result of facing Peyton Manning?
  12. I tried for about 45 minutes, and their server was down the whole time. How can they not be prepared for this? Edit: Looks like Paciolan is located in Irvine. I wonder if the fires out there have anything to do with the system crashing.
  13. Boo-hoo. We're 7-0. You're not. Advantage Jayhawks. And you've played crap teams, that's why you're 7-0. Come on, you know that kU isn't near as good as their ranking indicates they are. hard to say, but road wins against K-State and Colorado are pretty solid wins. I do think that Mizzou is one of the top 10 teams in the country. It's more impressive that kU beat them on the road than if they would have done it at home, sure. But I'm not overly impressed with a team who's two biggest wins on the year have been against teams that are 4-4 and 4-3. We've already dominated two Top 25 teams this year; the only game that kU has against a Top 25 team is the last week of the season -- against us. I hope you're not counting Nebraska, who's been exposed as an average football team, as a top 25 team. You're being generous by calling Nebraska average. And Mizzou, you have to use the rankings of where the teams are now and right now your team has played exactly one top-25 team which was Oklahoma. Why? Texas Tech is no longer in the Top 25 because we completely manhandled them. They'll get back in it. Either way, the point about the Top 25 aside... kU still hasn't played anyone. Again, their biggest victories are against teams that are 4-4 and 4-3. I don't see how you look at that, and say with a straight face that they're the 12th best team in the country. KSU was ranked when we beat them. I'm not going to apologize for KU's ranking. Their schedule is just as impressive as tOSU's, and we're 11 spots behind them. If you want to be ranked higher than us, un-lose that game at OU. Yeah, you're right -- I missed that. I guess we'll have to wait and see who the better team truly is in a few weeks.
  14. I know I'm late here, but WTF was Skinner doing? Lofton could have literally jogged home and made it without a throw. What a terrible, terrible decision.

  18. At least you guys root for teams that have won games this year. The Rams are just an embarrassment.
  19. God I hate the Patriots.
  20. kU ranked ahead of us is crazy.
  21. http://the506.com/nflmaps/2007-07-CBS.html Are close enough to Oakland to be blacked out if they don't sell out ? That's ridiculous if the Sacramento area is going to get blacked out because the Raiders can't sell out in Oakland. I really hate how teams do that. Do they not take into consideration the fact that a lot of people probably can't afford to go to the game? Even if they just don't care about that, the fact that they're saying "well if you don't watch us in person, I'm not going to let you watch us on TV!" is just so stupid.
  22. Mizzou is straight dominating Texas Tech. 38-10 now in the 4th quarter, in a game that most people thought would be a shootout.
  23. Wuertz' composite ERA 2004-2006: 3.44 Wuertz' post all-star ERA 2004-2006: 2.88 Wuertz' BAA 2004-2006: .226 Wuertz' BAA post all-star 2004-2006: .211 At what point are you going to admit that you simply pull s*** out of your ass? Yeah, I have no idea where that came from. In Wuertz's career, he's pitched in 108 games before the all star break, and 112 after it. His ERA in the first half of the season is 4.61 and in the second half it's 2.67. Over the course of his career, his worst two months are April and May, and his best two are August and September. And he's been crazy good in September too. 70 K's in 50 innings, only 18 walks and an ERA under 2. Basically, the opposite of what the Little guy said is true.
  24. Looks like I should pick the Seattle D up in my fantasy league this week.
