  1. Think about it the Jews had it easy back cpl thousand years ago they were in the desert for only 40 years Random. I wish I could take a couple months off and not think about this team. But I can't.
  2. Mizzou is looking very solid tonight. This is the 2nd straight time that I've chosen to watch the Cubs get eliminated rather than go to the Mizzou Nebraska game. I won't be this foolish next time. And that blown Coffman TD call was flat out absurd. After reviewing that, how could they not get it right? It was as clear as day.
  3. Lou lifted Lilly much earlier than he did Zambrano. But he lifted Lilly too late. Definitely. Hill too. Rich should've been done after one inning. Because he gave up all those runs in the 2nd and 3rd? Please. ??? Because he looks like crap, and has since the game started. Are you watching the game?

  6. Is it really surprising that he swung at crap? After his first at bat, I would've bet 100 dollars that he swung at the first pitch in his second one.
  7. Thanks, Ramirez. It's cool, just cost us the game. No big deal.
  8. Nice to see 1) Ramirez watch three straight strikes. Idiot. And 2) one pitch Rich showing what a mental midget he truly is.
  9. Our hitters have owned Livan Hernandez, we should take this game. Tomorrow we should take as well. Game 5 back in AZ though... yikes, I don't know about that.
  10. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3050833 Turned down a 13 million dollar deal. Is he still thinking of going back to Atlanta and pitching there for a year before retiring? Or has there been speculation that he's just going to retire this year? I personally can't see him hanging them up after his last start, he's had too great of a career to go out like that.
  11. What? So soon? His days as a prospect are numbered then too. Not if he can play center. His bat would play at either position. Exactly, his bat is as valuable at CF. But then his days in the organization might be numbered. Again, this isn't 100% but it's just the impression I've gotten - he was listed as a CF when he was called up (and is listed as an OF on the 40-man) and he played CF the last 2 weeks at Iowa when there were other CF options and no 2B options with the I-Cubs. Why was he switched in the first place? Was he pretty rough defensively?
  12. Good point. I think that Hill is a little lacking in the mental department. I'm not saying he's an idiot or anything, but he just comes off as being a little... shaky. I would much rather have Soto starting, but hopefully Kendall's presence helps keep Rich calm and collected.
  13. Assuming your team is going to lose, which is what Piniella did, isn't exactly encouraging either.
  14. I don't know what the approach is going to be in Game 3, but here's what I do know. We can still win this. Coming back from down two games seems like a tough task. But I don't think it's too tough. Essentially all we're looking at is sweeping a three game series. This team is absolutely capable of doing that. We've seen all year that this team gets on cold streaks (like the last two games) and also hot streaks (like going 13-7 down the stretch). I still maintain that we're the better team. We can do this. We just need the players to play like they should. That's not an unreasonable request at all. Let's hope that this team starts playing like they did a couple weeks ago. Keep the faith. It's not over yet.
  15. The trio of Lee, Soriano, and Ramirez is the biggest reason we're down 2-0. These guys absolutely HAVE to show up on Saturday.
  16. I really don't understand why people are dogging Lilly for doing what he did. It's the freakin playoffs. He gave up a home run and reacted accordingly. Did you get pissed off when it happened? Yes? Of course you did. Why the hell are you slamming Lilly for doing the exact same thing? Just cause he showed more emotion on the mound than you did on your couch?
  17. It's [expletive] that I'm going to have to mail my NLCS tickets back to the Cubs to get a refund. Just freaking credit my account, and be done with it. Why do I have to go through the hassle of doing all this?
  18. Soto was the starter down the stretch, and he's the starter in the playoffs... he'll be our starter next year. No doubt about it.
  19. I really like that Lilly did that. You don't see that kind of emotion too often.
  20. I wish I knew when the NLCS games would be played. They don't release that until the teams are determined though, right?
  21. Got 4 tickets to the 2nd home game in section 229. I'm pumped! Now we just gotta get to the NLCS! http://www.seatdata.com/images/mlb_cubs/1024x768/229.jpg
  22. Ballsy questions being asked of Lou right now, I like it!
  23. We just lost a freaking playoff game, what the hell do you expect?
  24. At least I'll be drunk tomorrow night when Lou pisses the game away by trying to save Lilly for a Game 5 that won't ever happen.
