    Great points. Theriot has been getting on base at a great clip this year, so I wasn't going to be a moron and complain about him hitting at the top of the order. But Fukudome is much more ideal batting second, and you're spot on regarding him batting 8th.

    I agree with whoever said he looks like he's guessing a lot of times. He also looks to be swinging for the fences more times than not. I think his recent month long slump has been more a result of the rest of the league adjusting and Geo not, rather than anything else.

    Because he gave up a tapper to third? Because he's a starter who was a reliever last year and isn't used to pitching this many innings. He's up over 100 pitches. He needs to be taken out. Fair enough. I was just thrown by the timing of your post I guess.

    Remember this statement if Dempster fades badly in August. If he fades badly in two months, I don't think throwing an extra 15 or so pitches on June 22nd is going to be the reason for it. As others have mentioned, he's getting an extra day off between now and his next start anyways.
