I was just looking at Fonzi's splits... I didn't realize how drastic his home/away splits have been this year. Same can be said for his lefty/righty splits.

i like how you say this. c'mon hendry, just go out and trade from our group of lousy prospects to acquire an excellent pitcher from a team that's 8 games over .500 and has a legitimate chance to make the playoffs! how can it be this difficult?!?!? one, if you want to blame that first inning run on him. personally it looked more like heads-up baserunning than sleepy outfielding, so let's split the difference and blame him for 0.5 of a run. so it should be white sox 7.5, cubs 0. One? What? There was that, the AJ basehit that he overran, the bad throw to home where he would have had Quentin if he made a good throw... that's three right there. And probably more.

Yeah, at least offensively, Soto is not quite the god everyone expected him to be. It's cause the league has figured him out. And he hasn't made the adjustments. He's showing signs of breaking out of the slump lately. He's been hitting the ball hard. The real problem is that he's not drawing walks anymore. He's not? A quick glance at his splits doesn't show that at all.
