    Even if Arroyo is the starter, Murton should be on the field. Matt's 3 of 13 in his career against him and has put the ball in play every time. So it's not like he's God-awful or anything. I have an unrelated question. I haven't paid attention to the starting lineups much this spring; how similar is today's to other games? Has this lineup been put out there on a consistent basis?

    I like those green caps. I also like the fact that today's game is on WGN!

    I had them losing in the first round. I was pretty happy to see Miami's 9-0 start. Not so happy to see Oregon's 20-0 run that followed though.

    This has been said a million times, and it still doesn't prove anything. I wasn't making any accusations. Prior's one of my favorite Cubs. But it is odd to see his calves (which used to be huge) so much smaller.

    I have UNC beating Wisconsin 78-67.

    After thinking about it, I have too many other big purchases planned in the next few months so I don't think that another trip to Chicago this summer is going to be in the budget. So I'm going to buy Cubs-Sox tickets tomorrow with full intentions on selling them. If anyone is interested, let me know.

    More Chris Duncan for everyone! I think Duncan was going to be playing everyday anyways.

    I don't understand how people don't see what the problem is. Throwing games is what I would take issue with. Betting on your own team to win doesn't seem all that evil to me. But, there is no way to know whether he bet for or against them. It's not about being evil. It's about being something that cannot go on with professional sports teams. That, and jeopardizing the future just to win a game that night. Why is Pete Rose still making headlines?

    Nice, so did I! This is the first year that I've been selected... is it going to be a virtual waiting room just like when regular tickets went on sale? Also, it says I can buy at 9:00 AM Thursday morning... is that when it opens up for everyone, or are there different times? It seems like people had different times, but I could be wrong. Yeah, 9:00 AM is the first slot. You'll have your pick of some good seats. Any suggestion as to bullpen vs. dugout box seats? Depends on what you want to pay and where you like to sit. I like the dugout box, but you can save some cash going bullpen. Of course, you could always use your slot to buy bleacher box for one of the Sox games and use the opportunity to make a buck. What game were you looking at buying? I really have no idea at this point. Definitely either a regular or value game though. Another question, while I'm thinking about it... will I have the option to choose which dugout or bullpen I want to sit by?

Edit: Nevermind, I read the rest of the email. 9:00 is the earliest time. Awesome!

    I wouldn't pay 250 bucks for a premium game, but I'd definitely pay the cost for a regular game, if given the opportunity. It would be awesome to be that close.

    Three above average seasons and four below average seasons, combined with a career ERA of 4.55 is hardly one of the worst pitchers in the game, but you're certainly entitled to your opinion, no matter how off if may be.

    Well if you're not looking at one year, then you must be looking at his career. And to say that he's one of the worst pitchers in the game based off his career is completely inaccurate.

    the pitchers job is to prevent runs from scoring. K:BB has been shown to predict run prevention in the future better than previous run prevention. That's all that matters. It's not like ERA violated me sexually when I was a kid and I hold a grudge against it. Anybody arguing that Marquis is useful is just wrong. Every single shred of statistical reasoning shows he's among the worst pitchers in the game. If you want to go against that, fine. :roll: You look at one year which happens to be his worst year and conclude that? What's the point in that?

    How'd Marquis look today? Was he getting a lot of ground balls? I don't expect great things from him, but I do think he'll keep his ERA around 4 this year.

    I've said it before and I'll say it again, Sammy is going to have a great year. It's awesome to see him doing so well in ST!
