  1. Wow, has the search function really not worked for over a year? I didn't realize it had been so long. Anyways, I was searching through this forum to find the answer to a question... how do I change my user name? Email Tim, PM Tim, what? Thanks.

  3. That's a solid lineup!
  4. Better than last time out (and we felt that was a good game), according to Bruce. The defense really failed him. Bruce opined that Prior is about 3 weeks away from being big league-ready. 3 IP, 0 ER, 3 R, 2 H, 3 K, 2 BB, 2 WP, 60 pitches (37 strikes) Thanks. How was his velocity?
  5. So how was Prior today?
  6. When is this going to be posted? I'd like to get in on it, but I'm going to be out of town this weekend.
  7. You can add one more vote for the Cubs!
  8. My guess is that they didn't see the race as that close. Even if Prior was brilliant tomorrow, they were more comfortable with starting Miller in the rotation at the beginning of the season. Because of this, they announced it now so the controversy wouldn't be as large if Prior does pitch great tomorrow. It just doesn't make sense considering what Lou said in yesterday's Tribune: That was before he officially committed, today, to Miller. Obviously.

  10. Wow, I'm shocked that he didn't bash the Cubs and even more shocked that he ranked them above the Cards. And that's what he looks like? Hahaha
  11. Why not wait til after Prior's start tomorrow to make this decision?
  12. What is it about Todd Walker that cause him to be unwanted by so many teams?
  13. Yeah, it's hard to stomach at times. Here he is making more money this season than I'll make in the next 15 years, and he isn't actually doing anything to earn it.
  14. I thought I saw something the other day (maybe pure speculation) about Lou skipping the 5th starter's spot early in the year. I know he initially said that he wouldn't, but did he change his mind on that? As it stands, I'm going to see Marquis pitch on the 21st, and then again on the 27th. I'm not exactly thrilled about that.
  15. Yeah, the Sox are going to outbid everyone else for Z. Gimme a break! I'm confident that a deal will get done before Opening Day. But if it doesn't, and Carlos reaches free agency, there's no way he'll sign with an AL team.
  16. Some things never change. It sucks to see him hurt yet again, but I can't say that I'm surprised. Any word as to how this will affect the final spot in the bullpen?
  17. Wood didn't look too bad today. If not for that hit and run that was executed well, Kerry wouldn't have given up any runs. If the Angels weren't running on that play, that would've been an inning ending double play.
  18. ??? Al wasn't even harsh in what he wrote, but why are you getting so bent out of shape about it?
  19. 8 blocks up clark, which is slightly more than 8 city blocks since it's diagonal, so probably a mile and a quarter. Nice, thanks! I stayed there last year. It was probably a 20 minute walk. is it really nice enough to charge $200 a nite? God no. It's a Days Inn. It's easily the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. But with that said, you can't beat the location. It's within walking distance of Wrigley and the bars surrounding it, so it's worth it to me. And it was "only" 150 a night, not 200. it was $200 for me when i looked for the weekend of april 13th That's odd. I don't see why the cost would be cheaper for a weekend series against the Cards. They have to know that they can easily sell that weekend out, and you figure they'd jack the prices up higher. Either way, I'm paying 300 bucks to stay in a freakin Days Inn for two nights. I'm not really happy about the cost, but oh well.
  20. Who did we get for him again? I don't remember at all, but assuming the player has a pulse (or maybe not), it had to have been an upgrade.
