I don't know? I thought the reference was about 10 years too late as well. I mean, if he said the Roger Federer of Assholes, I woulda known what he meant. Entirely besides the fact that he tried to reference tennis during a baseball game. I mean, Babe Ruth of Assholes woulda been nice. Oh I get it. So he's saying that you're like the king of assholes or the biggest [expletive] or whatever. What a strange way of communicating that.

what do you know, strike out, groundout, no runs let derosa swing the bat can't believe that move didn't pay off. ronny cedeno is pretty much a guarantee to get at least one run in, what with his solid approach and great contact skills. i wasn't displeased with ronny (or Blanco) that much (though i was watching on sportsline, so i didnt see the actual pitches). He at least saw a lot pitches and worked it to a 3-2 count. It was just a dumb move to take the bat out of a good hitter's hands and leave the inning to two bad ones. Agreed with the last part. Ronny swung at some crap though. Yes he worked the count full, but he swung at two balls in the dirt with that full count. The first one he was lucky enough to foul out. The second one, not so much.

There's no way of knowing if Lou called it or if DeRo did it on his own. Len seemed to indicate that DeRo was doing it on his own... Fine, but Lou needs to react accordingly. Soto should have been hitting for Cedeno or Blanco. Then who plays SS in the 9th?

Howard hit a grounder to Lee's right. Semi-laid out for it, ball quickly got away from him... got to it, flipped to Shark and Howard was called out. He looked to be pretty safe though. Just showed the replay. It was a lot closer than it first looked, but he was safe. Howard acted like a big baby, stomping around and throwing his helmet.

I didn't mind when he pitched the first game of the Pirates series... he did need some work. But it was entirely unnecessary to pitch him in the second game. Damnit.
