  1. I know it's probably irrational, but part of me is hesitant to register for other team's lotteries because I think that I might somehow get flagged and have all my entries denied.
  2. Has anyone else noticed how bad Pudge has been since the Yankees acquired him?
  3. So what's the magic number down to if the Brewers lose tonight?
  4. refreshing honesty.....from the guy who planned to extort other Cubs fans ;) If the Cubs didn't scalp tickets themselves, I might have second thoughts. Probably not, but I might. Either way, if I have the choice to A) buy 2 tickets and pay for airfare and hotel or B) buy 4 tickets, sell 2, and go to a Cubs playoff game for free... I'm going with choice B. So would any other human being that knows how to think rationally.
  5. Wow, this thread took a turn towards stupidity since I last opened it. I'll come out and say what others don't want to admit. This sucks for me because I was hoping to buy 4 tickets to a game, sell two, and essentially have a free trip to Chicago.
  6. There's nothing wrong with Zambrano calling Theriot out, as long as he does it in the clubhouse. He SHOULD call Theriot out after he crow hops three times, which results in Pence reaching base. This is a non-story. Or at least it should be.
  7. Anyone who has ever given the Cubs their email address is going to get this email. There are going to be a TON of people who couldn't name three Cubs starting pitchers that will register for this chance to buy playoff tickets. It's going to be very difficult to get tickets this year.
  8. Or, heaven forbid, Hendry could have sobered up and acquired an actual veteran major league hitter. As much as I hate to agree with you, you're right. Having a right handed threat off the bench is something that this team is clearly lacking.
  9. No. Not enough interest so I just deleted the league.
  10. 1st in Team AVG 1st in Team OBP 1st in Team SLG 1st in Team Runs Scored 2nd in Team ERA (by 0.02) These stats are current. Even after this crappy losing streak. Time to start playing like it. No better team to do it against than one that really effed us in 2004. And a manager that did the same.
  11. Well, I'd rather them go down 1-2-3 than load them up and fail to get anyone in.
  12. Alright, this is comically bad now. Freaking Astros. It's always the team you least expect to beat you.
  13. See: 2007 NLDS Cubs v DBacks More relevantly, see 2008 Cubs immediately after the All Star break. They slumped badly then, and then quickly proceeded to completely dominate their way to the best record in baseball. Every team slumps, even the best ones. They'll eventually get out of it, and go back to being a great team.
  14. Could McGehee be auditioning for a spot on the playoff roster? Jeez man. If he is, he's not helping his case at all.
  15. Nice performance! Let's get some runs!
  16. Your posts are so worthless. You are so annoying.
  17. He was all over Howry during the one at bat I saw last night... the one where the Astros hitter hit a laser to short. I think it was an 0-2 pitch or a 1-2 pitch, and Howry put it right down the middle.
  18. Zambrano can never pitch again and I'd be fine with it so long as it meant a World Series title.
  19. I hate it when games are on CSN... for whatever reason, it seems like they try and eliminate the crowd noise on the broadcast.
