  1. Why do they call him Juice, by the way? It's such a silly nickname. Juice is a nickname better suited for someone in the 80's.
  2. And Lilly wouldn't have continued to run hard to first.
  3. Beer. Seriously, I always kind of laugh when people bag on the city of St. Louis. Yes, the downtown area sucks. It's unsafe, dirty, and doesn't offer much of anything to do. The only time I go downtown is when the Cubs are in town or for work. But get outside the downtown area and there's plenty of stuff to do. Next time you're here go to the Central West End or the Clayton area.
  4. I agree. Mizzou dominated for basically the first three quarters. They kind of let up after they went up 45-20. That's something that we've seen with them in the past though, and hopefully something that Pinkel can quickly correct. Fun game. Seeing Chase Coffman jump over people again was awesome. Maclin is still amazing, although Illinois did a pretty good job of quieting him on offense. Washington looks like he's going to be a solid player. Our run defense was sick. Take away that 40 yard run by Dufrene and the Tigers held them to around 1 yard per carry on 34 carries. Great all around game for the Tigers with a few areas to work on. Certainly not near as close as the score makes it appear.
  5. they've looked decent, but the Tigers need to shore up the pass protection. the Illini have gotten into the backfield pretty quickly on several plays Yeah, I don't disagree. But they didn't sack Chase once though so it's not a huge deal.
  6. Reed Johnson doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Neither does Zambrano. There are plenty of people who do well in limited at bats. Cedeno is terrible. I'm one of the most optimistic people out there, but I expect failure from him every time he bats. He's just a worthless player. yeah, right. Umm, okay?
  7. Quite the dominating performance by the Tigers in the first half. Take away that stupid interception, and this game is a blow out right now.

  9. I think it was. Either way, too close to take with two strikes though.
  10. JC Romero is someone I'd take pleasure in punching in the face. Oh, and Ronny Cedeno still sucks. Why is he on this team again? Worthless.
  11. Well, to be fair, the umpires did know that the ball hit Victorino, unlike Stockton... "Strike three!!!" that's true. the worst thing about the hbp wasn't that he didn't move, it was that the pitch was a strike. He didn't not move... he dropped his arm down so that the ball would hit him. No doubt about it.
  12. Yeah the umps have been awful this series. It's been pretty even too in terms of effing each team. It's so aggravating that MLB doesn't do anything at all about the obvious umpire problems.
  13. All because that douche bag dropped his arm 6 inches to purposely get hit.
  14. Are you serious Stockton? Strike three? The ball hit him dude, christ.
  15. Fun fact... my boss's neighbor is Ryan Howard.
  16. Well that was a BS call. I guess it makes up for yesterday though.
  17. Man Dick Stockton is annoying as hell.
  18. Lilly is just dealing right now. Let's get him another run or seven.
  19. Stockton sucks, but I like listening to Karros.
  20. Are there certain bars in Chicago where players (Cubs and visiting players) go to on a regular basis?
  21. I hope so.. I mean, the CUBS can close the book on them. But the Brewers cant yet, Im starting to figure out why you guys hate the Cards so much.. Bunch of babies they are. No idea if you are referencing Wednesday night's game or not, but if so... I don't blame Pujols for yelling at Villanueva. That was uncalled for, posturing at the StL bench like that. I don't like the Cards much at all, but still. Don't blame Albert for standing up for his team. It has to do more then just that. I agree IF Villy was yelling at the bench (which I still dont think he was) he was out of line. But all they do is cry about everything. They talked about how they don't like us because we watch our homeruns and we untuck our jerseys. When Braun struck out in the 9th, Molina also started saying somethign when Braun was walking away. I just can't stand them. Where exactly do you think he was yelling? At the fans behind the bench?
