  1. This is pathetic. Carlos Zambrano is a freaking punk that needs to grow the hell up. I'm so glad that his extension wasn't given to him this offseason.
  2. Am I the only one who isn't ready to call the season over? It's freaking May 31st for crying out loud. Get a grip people.
  3. So has anything been said on air in regards to the whole Piniella meeting/Barrett missing thing from earlier?
  4. Nice to see Wuertz stepping up to blow any chance of a win. I suppose it was his turn. Who will do it tomorrow?!
  5. Man, you're just a bundle of you aren't you!
  6. I'm probably going to go ahead and buy MLB.TV... is Premium worth the extra money? well it seemed like half the time they would just tell me i couldn't watch the game unless i bought premium... so i eventually got it. now i can't even watch the game having bought it. What about the picture quality? And what did Barrett/DeRosa do that was so dumb??

  8. Bases loaded in San Diego, 1 out - GIDP 1st and Third in LA, 0 out, fails to make solid contact, runner is held at third Cubs don't score. Right, like I said... he's hitting over .300 this month, not 1.000. I'm fully aware that he's made outs.
  9. Are people just pretending that Izturis has been bad just for fun? He's hitting over .300 this month, with a .362 OBP. Cesar hasn't been a problem lately. And wow, has anyone noticed his home/road splits? I don't know if I've ever seen a player with that drastic of splits.
  10. I think Izturis will have some value. He's been solid for the past month or so, and his defense could be attractive to some GM's.
  11. Clearly it's because of his cannon arm and accurate throws.
  12. Not really. 673 OPS against w/ Barrett behind the plate, 660 with Blanco. He actually pitched extremely well to Paul Bako. Maybe he just imagined that paul was in the batter's box instead of behind the plate. I'm not really that concerned with the OPS allowed. What are the ERA's for each? Matter of fact, where are you getting this info?
  13. Hasn't Zambrano always been significantly better with Blanco catching him?
  14. Signing him wasn't a bad idea at the time. Wasting time on him at this point is though. This guy is washed up, cut him loose.
  15. Wait, he took Hill out after just 66 pitches of shutout baseball? I'm still a fan of Sweet Lou, but what the hell? We had a man on 3rd and 2 outs. We had to pinch hit for Hill. Maybe if we were trailing and it were the 7th inning or later. Not in a tie game though. That's nuts.
  16. Wait, he took Hill out after just 66 pitches of shutout baseball? I'm still a fan of Sweet Lou, but what the hell?
  17. 5 games back in May and the season is lost? Umm... huh?
  18. Who are you talking about? DeRosa. He's like top 5 in the league in pitches per PA Is he really? Wow, I didn't realize that. No wonder his IsoD is so high. I never thought I'd use the word IsoD in a sentence.
  19. Wow, Milwaukee is losing again. We could be just 4 back after today.
  20. Bunting with your cleanup hitter?!
  21. Well, he's right. He is paid to win baseball games.
  22. if hancock wasn't drunk and the tow truck driver/driver was negligent, would you be ok with suing them? Please explain to me how the driver of the stalled car should, in any way, be held accountable for this. What could he have done? vehicles do not come to a sudden stop when they quit working - s/he should have coasted off the road, either all the way to the right or in the median Not necessarily. you really can't think of any way that driver could have been negligent? he could have been driving a car with no brakes, he could have been drunk, he could have been not paying attention while driving. seriously, it's not that hard to imagine. Huh? What are you talking about? Sure, those scenarios are possible but what does that have to do with anything? Regardless of whether or not the stalled car's driver was driving without brakes, the fact is that his car got plowed into by a drunken idiot. and if his car was there because of his negligence, he's going to be held responsible. So you think that because the kid didn't get out and try and push his car 2 or 3 lanes over in the middle of a busy highway, he should be held responsible for some drunk plowing into him? I personally think that's ridiculous.
