    LOL he has how many at bats outside of the leadoff spot this year?20-30 maybe? That has to be the most irrelevant argument Ive seen in awile. He has 29 AB's outside of the leadoff spot. If you take anything from those stats, then that says it all right there. Yeah it's a small sample size, but it's better than looking at his numbers from five years ago. Let me ask you this... how many at bats out of the lead off slot would you like to see this year before you make a decision?

    Soriano this year: Leading off: .337/.382/.589/.972 Not leading off: .179/.258/.286/.544 So this year and last year, he's been significantly better leading off. This is fact. Who cares how he performed 5 years ago? That's completely irrelevant.

Not stepping on a team's throat when you have the chance is a bad idea. No, that's not the point. The point is you're bitching when we're up two runs. I'd hate to go to a game with a person like you. Oh come off it, Pope Mizzou. Pope Mizzou, that's funny. I'll drop it, but it does get old seeing constant complaint when the Cubs are doing well. That's all.

    It should be much more than that Can't you be happy that we scored 2 runs in the first inning? Of course we are. Isolate the at bats from the game situation. Didn't Jones look terrible in his AB? Should I be happy that he hit that way because we scored 2 runs in the inning? Would you be happy if it was the bottom of the 9th in a tie game with the bases loaded? No, but that's a completely different situation. Obviously if he K'd with the game on the line, I'd be pissed off. I watched the first inning, walked upstairs after it ended, and all the posts in here were bitchy and moany. It's just silly.
