  1. So let's sue him and try to get millions!
  2. if hancock wasn't drunk and the tow truck driver/driver was negligent, would you be ok with suing them? Please explain to me how the driver of the stalled car should, in any way, be held accountable for this. What could he have done? vehicles do not come to a sudden stop when they quit working - s/he should have coasted off the road, either all the way to the right or in the median Not necessarily. you really can't think of any way that driver could have been negligent? he could have been driving a car with no brakes, he could have been drunk, he could have been not paying attention while driving. seriously, it's not that hard to imagine. Huh? What are you talking about? Sure, those scenarios are possible but what does that have to do with anything? Regardless of whether or not the stalled car's driver was driving without brakes, the fact is that his car got plowed into by a drunken idiot.

  5. I can maybe see sueing the bar (despite their attempts to get him a cab), but to try and sue the tow truck driver and especially the driver of the stalled car is ridiculous.
  6. 85 pitches through 5 for Peavy? Is that a typo??
  7. Wow, I knew Rolen has been bad this year, but I just noticed how awful he really has been. Aside from his injury ridden year in '05 he's been solid every year of his career. I wonder why he's been so bad this year. Either way, I hope he keeps stinking it up and the Cards are unable to trade him and are forced to pay him 12M per year through 2010.
  8. I like them and dislike them. It's nice to lay in bed and watch the game, but it sucks falling asleep during the middle of it.
  9. Actually, it's more RBI's and HR's than everyone besides ARam, more doubles than everyone but Lee and Soriano, more total bases than everyone but Ramirez and Lee. Of players with at least 50 PA's he has a higher OPS than everyone but Ramirez and Lee. Not bad for a guy just flailing away for HR's. Oh, so he has better stats than everyone on the Cubs not named Lee, Ramirez or Soriano? The Sosa man-love crowd is a weeeeird bunch. You know what's even weirder? People who only post in one thread, and that thread being about a player they can't stand. Obsess much? I missed the memo for posting in one thread only. Sorry about that. And would you qualify a post dedicated solely to a player who hasn't been on the team in two years as "obsessing"? Just curious. No, I'd call it keeping up with one of my favorite players. Nothing wrong with that. I do see something wrong with people like yourself who only bash the guy though. I've got no problem with not liking Sammy Sosa. But to post drivel after drivel like you do is just dumb and a complete waste of time. Do something productive rather than bitching.
  10. Are people seriously complaining about this? Seriously? God, some people just complain about everything.
  11. What does BABIP have to do with MVP voting?

  13. Aside from Ramirez, Sammy currently has more RBI's than every other Cub.
  14. Yes, but Eyre's contract gets in the way. If he refuses to go on the DL, they either have to trade or release him. They aren't likely to be willing to eat that money for this year and next year unless they absolutely have to-they'd rather keep him, hope he gets better, and then either keep him or raise his trade value. Can a player refuse to go on the DL?
  15. Can I get a quick update as far as today's news on this story?
  16. Do you ever have anything good to say? Ever?
  17. Quick question... the ESPN game recap says the game was delayed for 45 minutes in the 9th inning. Why?
  18. This would be a completely [expletive] move.
  19. One game on WGN is Cubs, the other is Sox announcers. Cubs had friday. Makes sense. I was at work on Friday and didn't realize that. Is Lee going to be in the lineup today, does anyone know?
  20. This is on WGN but with the Sox announcers calling the came? Man that sucks. Out of curiosity, does anyone know how they determined that Idiot and that other guy would get the game, rather than Len and Bob?
  21. I remember him talking about that, but don't believe he actually ever did it. I could be wrong though.
  22. So is Marshall officially joining the rotation? If so, I'm going to be pretty pissed. I'm not that high on Guzman, but Marshall I'm not high on at all. I don't think he has any future in the big leagues.
