I'd hate to have a bunch of cash spent on Marquis, Prior and Clement. I'd rather bring a young guy up and put the money into a quality hitter. Now, if the Cubs trade Marquis and Prior, then yes, it might be a nice gamble. Yea, good point. I'm assuming Prior is gone though, and Hendry is entertaining offers for Marquis, so who knows. We certainly don't! It would be nice to get those 3 prospects for Prior, Trade Marquis and his salary for a B prospect and sign Clement if he can pitch. I figure that out to save the Cubs about 10-Clement and should be enough cash for a trade for Tejada or sign Fukedome.
