  1. I'm going to try to make some too. I hope they are there when they come to Syracuse.
  2. GMac being hurt killed us as he was truely needed and the team lost a lot when he was out there because he couldn't move. I wish the kid could have been healthy and had a chance to go out on his terms.
  3. I lost Marquette and Winthrop so far.
  4. I've got LSU, Pitt, Illinois and Wisconsin in my Final 4 with Pitt winning it all. For the Bucknell train I had them losing to Pitt with Xavier and Northern Iowa also in my Sweet 16.
  5. There was a blurb in one of the Cubs.com articles that Sing was having problems with allergies / his contact lenses getting too dry and was having to switch to glasses, which made him uncomfortable hitting. That was given as a reason he hadn't been playing at all lately. I've lived that Hell before and didn't have to hit 95 MPH fastballs too! I've always wondered how contacts going crazy would effect a MLB type player. Gimme a couple years and I'll suggest remedies for you. Or, more likely, I'll tell you to see your optometrist. Me and Sing will do the "See clearly method" and put you people out of business!
  6. Personally, I don't expect the Cubs to tell me about injuries and the details that go with them. I assume they want the best players out there and are trying their best to do so and whatever group of 25 they have out there on Opening Day I'll be rooting for.

  8. That's one of the reasons I thought Sing would go down later.
  9. Sing down already, eh? The Dope Slap is still up...interesting.
  10. I thought that Illinois should have got a 3 at the worst. yep, we got the ol' joan collins special, like Big Ten teams always do. But they're Duke... Nothing new, typical treatment by Commitee as far the Illini are concerned. With a few exceptions ('89, '01 and '05) they managed to seed the Illini the furtherest form home and in a loaded region. I understand the seeding but, San Diego? The Duke announcers on ESPN seemed to be impressed with BC so they should be ahead of your Illini too.
  11. What are the Bears projecting Benson to be? Starting back or scrub?
  12. I blame MLB for ignoring the steroid and other drug issues because they were making tons of cash. Once again they didn't see the big picture and hopefully they learn for this. I also think they should go after everyone or no one. I don't like Bonds but I think it's unfair to just go after him.
  13. I thought that Illinois should have got a 3 at the worst.
  14. Boy that's the earliest White Flag ever. While we're at it, why don't we see what Ramirez, Prior, and Zambrano would bring us. I don't see it as giving up but just asking what Murton might be worth. I could see the Cubs trading Murton and others if they got a Gonzalez from Arizona if they feel they need more power to make a pennant run.
  15. How has Grissom been doing so far stat wise/looking this preseason?
  16. Was Jim Nance cut off from the head committee guy or was he being rude? He seemed to ignore the guy at the end.
  17. You and me both. I'm not watching the selection show. I am cheering for them if they get in of course (looks to be about a 30% chance, Florida State, Hofstra, George Mason, Michigan and Seton Hall seem to be fighting for 2-3 spots), but I don't think they deserve it. Oh well 8 years without a rooting interest in the NCAA tourney, might as well wait more years. Amaker did nothing with the very good talent he recruited at S Hall and left the school in a mess that Orr had to pick up. I think you guys could get a way better coach than this guy.
  18. Me either....way too many first round upsets for us. Every team that plays Syracuse can beat them this year and every game will be a battle. Also, Syracuse always does horrible in the NCAA's when they win the BE tournament.
  19. They played tougher top 50 teams than Air Force did and lost to the eventual BE champion in the last second. Show me how Air Force is better. Air Force at least has wins against Miami and and Georgia Tech, two decent power conference teams. I think they key difference is that while they lost their last game, they didn't get blown out, like SMS did, I'm guessing. *shrug* I get a kick out of that. A M-M plays 2 average or below average ACC teams and get more credit than Florida St does for beating Duke and going over 500 in the ACC. I'm not arguing with you coach about this justwondering how the committee came to the conclusion on how Air Force is better than Cincy, Florida St, Michigan or Missouri St. and despite the non-conference light-weights, how is FSU's SOS so bad when they have to play over 1/2 their games against the ACC? Because the ACC was down this year. I agree that Florida St should play tougher teams out of conference and left their fate to the committee Gods.
  20. They played tougher top 50 teams than Air Force did and lost to the eventual BE champion in the last second. Show me how Air Force is better. I already said Air Force doesn't belong in. Sorry...I'm just enjoying the tournament talk and kind of hyper.
  21. Prior has more delays than O'Hare. I hope he's healthy and ready by opening day.

  23. They're not supposed to look at how many teams a conference is getting. They're supposed to pick the 34 best teams that didn't receive an automatic bid. You can't penalize a team because 8 other teams in their conference were also good. True, but to play Devil's Advocate here, Cincy went 8-8 in the Big East, but only two of those wins (Marquette and W. Virginia) were teams above them in the standings. The other 6 wins were against DePaul, S. Florida, Providence, etc. Their only quality non-conference win was against LSU, with losses to Memphis and Dayton (who they played twice  ) and Xavier. Does Air Force have better quality wins than LSU, WV and Marquette?
