I could watch Pujols hit all day. Now, watching Jones swing gives me the opposite type of feeling.

Eek....I hope this doesn't mean some over rated veteran 1st baseman isn't a guy targeted and Guzman is just part of the trade. -
I would never trade Wright for Willis. I don't think I'd trade Wright for Miggy.

Glendon is a keeper in your mind? The problem with waiting to deal Wood is that (besides the obligatory no trade clause response) he wont be tradeable until Lee is probably half way done with his DL stint. Regarding trading for a big bat...when was the last time a superstar was dealt in April? Rusch is servicable but you're right, he can be moved too.

If Hendry gets an impact bat that will make a difference then yeah, go for it. But, if he overpays for a mediocre bat I think the Cubs are going to have a problem depending on who he trades. If Hendry can aquire a solid righty hitter without giving up a lot that would be fine. Personally, I'd like to see who would be interested in Williamson, Perez, Williams, Hairston, Pierre and Jones. Plus, Wood when he gets off the DL....hopefully he'll give some teams the illusion he can pitch and stay healthy and the Cubs can move him to Texas. I think trading a combination of these guys would make the team better now and in the future.

I think it's a good time for him to get the kinks out. I don't. I still have fantasies about winning this game. Aardsma has to learn to pitch inside a little better. I think this little tour of duty should get him to be a better pitcher. They don't have time for him to fix himself. He may end up getting demoted so that someone else can get a shot. Personally I see no logic in that. Sometimes you just have to let a kid work it out and not make him be perfect the first 3 or 4 times out there.

I disagree. He's a young kid that needs some time IMO. I think this Lee/Prior/Wood injuries might be a blessing in diguise if Hendry does it right. By that I mean some young guys might get some time and we can see if they are worth having around.

Maybe he's making up for bunting the first pitch of the game when everyone was expecting him to do so. pierre is overrated in so many ways, it's hard to find a place to start. however, i'll go out on a limb and say his bunting may be the most overrated aspect of his game. :? I wonder what his average is when he attempts to bunt?

You must be thinking that Manning is at QB for the Cubs! I think this team can score some runs but I think Hendry can make this team a lot better with some shrewd moves.
