    Let's do the Jack McKeon (sp) thing and get the Zim man back. Hendry wants to live the Houston story over but why not the old almost out of baseball Florida come back? Florida, unlike Houston actually came back and won the Series.

    Well...it is called hitting and not walking. It's nice to hear Zimmers voice for a whole 4 pitches. Maybe he can slide into the dugout and take over the team now. The Cubs can do the Jack McCean thing.

    But when Lee comes back do you think he'll be quiet and sit the bench? Lee does not sit out games so that leaves 3B and the corner OF spots for time.

    My man Dusty said in the pre game that he was going to try Nevin in the OF and see how that goes. Great minds think alike.

Z should know that there is a switch on and that there are 3 infielders on the right side of the field. True but pitchers are trained over and over again to slide to the right side when there's a grounder there. Professional players should be able to use their brains and realize that there was no reason to go to first base. I don't care if Z goes to home or to third but there is no reason he should go to first base. Sure they are trained to run to first, but you have to realize the situation. Yes, this would be nice if it were true but this team has been poor fundamentally for a long time.

    Ground ball towards 1st/2nd pitcher goes towards 1st. Once he saw that the play was contained he should have gone to third. That ball was up the middle. He's got to know the shift is on and head to third since there's no way he would be going to first where that ball was hit. I'm happy the Cub pitchers are even going towards first. Now you're asking them to go to third? Pitching and thinking are not something a lot of pitchers do well my friend.

    It should have been done quicker IMO. Hendry waited too long to make a deal like this and the Cubs have payed with a terrible record after the Lee injury.

    i'm watching the Fox sports StL feed, so no Stoney, its the regular Stl duo I heard them say the same thing. Disgusting. I'm seriously on the verge of finding another team to root for. I've always been a Cubs fan, but, as a baseball fan, it's becoming tough to root for them. You know, there is a whole community of Cubans in Miami who would kill and die for Cuba, but feel the current management has to go. That's sort of how I describe my Cub fandom. And whenever I see the word Cuba somewhere I initially thinks it says Cubs. So who would win if the Cobs played Cuba?
