  1. Zambrano could hit 400 with his limited plate appearances. What is the record for highest batting average by a pitcher with a least 60 AB's?
  2. Lou'd have to be pretty darn careful though. What scares me is that Guz would be effective and pitch a little too much because of the temptation to leave him in there. Lou sees the big picture pretty well and I'm sure that it wouldn't happen but.... If he's called up in September though, there isn't a lot Lou can do. He's been careful with Samardzija, not pitching him back to back, etc. There's going to be enough arms down there that Lou would be unlikely to abuse Guzman. It's going to take at least a week or two of quality appearances before he'd even have the desire to start using him all the time, and by then, he'd have very little time to do so. Then, if he makes the playoff roster, that's littered with off-days, which would help. First of all, it's pretty nice to have guys that were drafted by the Cubs making/possibly making an impact. That makes sense and it also might depend on how many pitchers they have on the roster for the playoffs.

  4. I agree. 16 teams in the NL and 16 teams and play everyone the same amount of times and the best 4 go, and they've earned the right to be one of the best 4 because they all played the same schedule. I don't like the 4 team division because many times you either have no race or some crappy under 500 team is going to the playoffs. Plus, expansion gives more Americans jobs!
  5. He had me at hello. I'd love to see Angel ready for next year and battling for a bullpen job. In my dream world, he's starting but I don't want to visit that world at the moment.
  6. I think this might be a good thing as long as it's just a bruise. A little rest and getting Cedeno some more reps is a good thing imo.
  7. I thought the Cubs wanted to keep the Harden/Marshall combo though? I wonder if this was not just a roster issue but an issue with Eyre as well?
  8. It's like having a Pedro on the team.
  9. He's making Marmolade out of em!
  10. Plus, it gets Sori the heck out of LF as Reed is there now.
  11. Go take the cats out now and we'll tell you when it's over.
  12. You have to read that like Adam West!
  13. Which brings us back to doe..doe doe doe!
  14. Sori boys, the Cubs are now up 3!
  15. Wezzzz got drama.....whoo hoo!!!!
  16. Sorry...you're stuck with the Vista version.
  17. This just sets up a dramatic Cub win, that's all!
  18. Talk to him Soto to calm him down.
  19. I was worried about losing Gally and thinning the starting staff but w/Gaudin and Shark hoefully stepping up helps ease the pain. Then again......
  20. Hopefully we never see him take the mound in a Cubs uniform again. Whats wrong with Eyre? Fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life Lou was heard saying to Eyre. what does Rod Beck have anything to do with Scott Eyre? Hey...don't mess with shooter!
  21. Poor job of blocking by Soto. Nice job of getting him Cotts...2 away.
