  1. It was college, but didn't Schwarber throw out 35-40% of would-be base stealers?
  2. I love reading stuff like the above! :good:
  3. Castro's HR trot always looks like he has a pants full of poop!
  4. I was watching on MLBN and it wasn't really too awful. Trout hit a changeup about 400 ft after fouling off some good FB. Sale shouldn't have even come out for the 8th. He was just shy of 100 pitches and had given up a couple solid hits to end the 7th. He was surprisingly mostly calm about it. There was silence on the GS, so much so that Stone had to jump in and talk. Hawk did complain about the error by Ramirez a bunch of times (forgetting the Angels had two themselves, one leading to an unearned run). Hawk also made a point of stating that the 6th, and winning run cam after a couple of weak hits. He just refuses to give credit where credit is due. Pretty shameful IMO.
  5. The comment about Vitters mentions his "shot at the Bigs" not yet being over. I posted because I thought the slideshow was interesting. Brien Taylor has to be the biggest of the busts mentioned in that group, if for nothing more than he was a Yankee's pick.
  6. The Cubs have two on the list: Ty Griffin and Josh Vitters Link
  7. Was getting tired of the whole, "X number of starts without a win" for Shark. Hopefully this is the start of him stringing together a few wins.
  8. If the Cubs could only bat for one inning but were allowed 27 outs in that one inning, how many runs do you think they'd score for Samardzija?
  9. Louie with the "suck" to start the inning. Louie with the "leather" to end the inning.
  10. What's with the two-fingers peace sign to the eye after a hit the players have been doing this year??
  11. "Hey, the jerk store called and they're running out of you!" said Len Casper as Gyorko struck out to end the inning. Now that's some comedy gold!!!!
  12. Does Bryant stay in AA all season or does he get a bump to AAA later in the summer (assuming he continues hitting like he has)?
  13. The attempted ball-bash is funny!
  14. Every hit I keep hoping is the one that starts him on a hot streak.
  15. Thanks CR and Tim and everyone else. I'm a "novice" minor league fan, and still learning who's who. But the older I get, the more intrigued I am at the whole minor league process. It's actually really neat to follow some of these youngsters through to the Majors. Hopefully there's plenty of that in the near future! :beg:
  16. Makes sense, thanks. I'll still keep an eye on him. If he keeps hitting, he should be up to AA sometime this year, right?
  17. Admittedly, I don't know too, too much about the minors and its players. I've brought his name up before, but why is Bijan Rademacher not thought of as a more highly touted prospect? He's hit at all three levels he's played so far and he's not yet 23.
  18. Twenty six pitches thru 2 innings. That's usually the first inning. :good:
  19. "One thing that this lineup has to be aware of, and I'm talking about the Sox lineup, is the fact that Edwin Jackson can't field his position very well and he also doesn't hold base runners closely." -Steve Stone May 6th, 2014 First Inning About 7:10p  While his assessment was correct, the timing was sensational.
