  1. If you were forced to use one as your closer for a season, heck, even 1 game, who do ya’ take - Ken Giles or Justin Wilson??
  2. Yep. They’d be 108 years with no WS.
  3. Most brittle pitching staff - Dodgers or Mets??
  4. Jacob "Don't Call Me Samson" deGrom
  5. The Cubs should not be allowed to lose a baseball game to a guy named Milos, Milo, Miles or Myles.
  6. Please write an article or make some type of post or proclamation about Rizzo's poor approach to his ABs this year as opposed to last.
  7. Didn’t see top of first, but Gameday shows first 4 pitches to Blackmon were strikes. He walked. Is ump having difficulty with strike zone again ?
  8. Cubs have 1 HR in May. Cubs had a lot more than 1 HR in April. Please try to catch up to April starting with a DONGfest today please.
  9. Well Knebel is dead and their offense sucks so the backend is Hader and they won’t have many leads. So, I’m aware Knebel is injured. But he’ll be back in a month or so, and will probably be very good again. And while the Brewers aren’t great, there will probably be a game or two where the Cubs are trailing late in the game. And to try to score off of those two will be daunting. Kinda like the Reds. They suck even more. But IF they have the lead in the 9th, the Cubs are basically helpless against Iglesias. Same with the Pirates closer. (Did he change his name again)
  10. Hader is very, very good. He and Knebel make that a fantastic back end of the BP.
  11. Very cute, 17!!! :D :D
  12. I thought the Bears had a pretty good draft, at least the first couple of rounds. Definite talent picked up. But ProFootballFocus grades them as a “below average” draft grade after all 7 rounds. I don’t get that tbh. Same for Vikes and Lions.
  13. I know it's early, but three of the Cardinal starters are batting under .185: Wong - .182 Dex - .170 Carpenter - .163 That's a whole lotta SUCK in the lineup on a regular basis. Not to mention attrocious defense, too!
  14. This is one of those times in a season where, in the short term, taking 3 of 4 from a division rival won't seem that great. Sweep please. :beg:
  15. I referenced this in today's game thread. Note the CF/2B connections, too.
  16. Cubs are under .500 when playing the Reds.
  17. reminds me of when Dusty used to keep players at the same spot in the batting order when they replaced a normal starter. Like Trinidad Hubbard batting 3rd when Sammy went on the DL Are you suggesting Trinidad Hubbard wasn't a legitimate 3 hitter??? Poppycock! Poppycock - not just an exclamation, but a delicious snack as well!
  18. Bote getting his uni dirty so he can prove to mom he played.
