    However out of market fans watch them now would almost certainly be the same way they'd see them on the Cubs network. This is really only materially different to the local market, in that there would no longer be any OTA broadcasts (WGN + ABC) and they would be on a different channel. If you watch them on Extra Innings now, that's how you'll watch them. If you have MLB.tv, that's how you'll watch them. I’m currently in the Chicago area. I’m mostly wondering for the future if I were to mov out of state. Back in the day, I refused to live in a certain town (out of state) because the cabl company they used didn’t carry WGN. That was way back when all but a handful of games were on WGN (before the sports channels).

    So to summarize, out of market fans would only be able to see the Cubs broadcasts via MLab Extra Innings....as of now?

    If only Javy was playing normal SS when DeGrom was hitting... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk Doubt he would’ve fielded it, but even if he does, probably doesn’t get deGrom anyway. Run still scores most likely. And things sort of evened out the next inning with a triple(HR most days) followed by two rocket line outs. And then a low strike three call.

    So if/when the Cubs have their own station, how will it work? Obviously it’s gotta be picked up by certain cable and sat dish companies. But would it be available to anyone assuming their cable/sat provider carries it? Or would it only be available to the Chicago market like NbCSports? If an out of market person wanted to get the Cubs games, would the mlb package be the only option?

    Umm, Kitzler may not be that good, but what exactly has he done wrong this inning? Swinging bunt single. Strike ‘me out, throw ‘me out, only to be called ball 4. Another swinging bunt. He should be out of the inning after three batters. Sheesh.

    Will he need one or more rehab starts, or will he be able to jump into the lineup? I'd imagine he'd need to see some live pitching during a game.

    Saw online that his hip hurt so bad this morning that he had to go to the ER. How did he get there, you ask. He walked.

    Pretty comical that people read a couple of things online, maybe interpret a tweet or a quote and come to the conclusion that the docs messed up. These aren’t strip mall MDs or GPs trying to make an extra buck working the evening shift at the urgent care. If a professional sports franchise is using them, they’re probably some of the best specialists in the world. Do they makes mistakes? Perhaps. But I’ll assume the correct diagnosis and procedures were done.
