I would start Chatsuck. "Why", you ask. Here's my strategy. Use Chatsuck and let him make one pitch. Worse case scenario, you're down 1-0 (Cubs clearly don't score in the first or are the home team). Reality is, the ball isn't anywhere near close to the hitting zone. So most likely, the count is 1-0 (as opposed to the score). Immediately pull him and replace him with anyone else on the playoff roster. I don't know if this would work or not. But at least at a critical point in the game (or any point for that matter), Drinky Joe would be unable to even think about using Chatsuck, let alone, actually bring him into the game. -
A shutout and maybe an RBI hit for Q. That would just about guarantee a victory.

I was annoyed with this game for awhile. Now I find it comical. Wouldn’t mind an old fashioned beat down if they’re gonna lose. Like a football-score baseball game. Although that would require the cobs to score a few more runs (doubtful).

Like the move of bringing in a wildly erratic pitcher to face the VBs two most disciplined hitters. What, was Chatsuck not available?

Doesn’t matter. VBs already scored the necessary two runs prior to those guys getting in the game.

Don’t worry, guys (and ladies). The offense will trick us all again with 5-6 games of runs-a-plenty, only fall back to being craptastic again. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. Can’t wait until they dominate offensively in the first round of the playoffs. And then score a total of five runs while being swept in the NLCS.

This has been happening ALL season. Score a bunch of runs over 5-6 games. Go into suck mode for 4-5 games Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

You guys sad you didn’t get Mack? Also how can anyone take any joy in Michigan’s football failings anymore? It’s been a decade of consistent failure Question #1 - No. It would be nice to have him, sure. But he cost quite a bit, both in the draft and financially. Great pickup for the Bears.....if they get decent QB play moving forward. And Mack stays healthy. Number 1 picks are a lot to give up, but you've got to give up a lot to get a player like Mack. Question #2 - F Michigan! Go Bloe!!

However out of market fans watch them now would almost certainly be the same way they'd see them on the Cubs network. This is really only materially different to the local market, in that there would no longer be any OTA broadcasts (WGN + ABC) and they would be on a different channel. If you watch them on Extra Innings now, that's how you'll watch them. If you have MLB.tv, that's how you'll watch them. I’m currently in the Chicago area. I’m mostly wondering for the future if I were to mov out of state. Back in the day, I refused to live in a certain town (out of state) because the cabl company they used didn’t carry WGN. That was way back when all but a handful of games were on WGN (before the sports channels).
