  1. Is that with Bote playing SS? Or is it Baez replacing Russell at SS with Bote at 3rd?
  2. Post Game Glanville is very smart, definitely knows his stuff, but has an unbelievable boring tone/voice. Sheesh. DeJesus really does not want to talk to the camera. Sheesh. Kaplan is, well, Kaplan. Sheesh.
  3. GOAT, Neck Tat, whatever....gets anxious and swings at first pitch. Ballgame, Nats. Three and a half and five.
  4. And Wade blows the “blown save opportunity” as the Rockies knock off the Braves. In other news, the Nats bullpen will try to get three outs in the 9th without giving up any runs. Good luck.
  5. Wade Davis in for the blown save opportunity after the Rocks scored 3 in the top of the 9th to take a 5-3 lead.
  6. Sh!tbirds down 4-1 in the top of the 4th.
  7. Think the Padres would part with AJ Ellis?
  8. Any lists of available catchers. I saw some would-be 2019 FA Catchers. The only ones that seem even remotely interesting are all on teams still in the hunt. Would probably need to swing a trade. Devin Mesoraca Josh Thole Brayan pena Drew Butera Wouldn't mind seeing a weak-hitting defensive-minded Catcher. Any of the above guys any good with defense and pitch framing?
  9. It doesn't really matter as long as its consistent. Good point. But really, what would the strike zone be? I'm inclined to think Baseball would make the pitch be mostly or completely in the box as they'd like to keep offensive production up.
  10. The NFL is a team of conservative goons responsible for turning the brains of a large portion of our population into goo, and my preferred team, the Packers, is a fermented and condensed version of all that. I sometimes pretend I wouldn't watch every game if A-Aron wasn't on the team, but it is a lie. I don't have a clue what the above means. But your a Packers fan, so that works for me!
  11. I'm still waiting for someone to explain how the strike zone will be determined. Using PitchTrax or whatever, is the pitch a strike if it just touches the rectangle box? Or does it need to be completely in the box? Or mostly in the box? And will catchers revolt because those with great pitch framing ability will lose one of their valuable assets? :dontknow:
  12. Wonder if Urena will start their next game. Why not? Pitch count down tonight.
  13. Did Acuna lead of the game with another home run??
  14. Best record in the National League. Go team.
  15. They're 4 back in the loss column, though. Continuing to play "about equal (but still worse)" than the Cubs is a good outcome for the Cubs. Except, the general thought was the Brewers would stumble with a difficult stretch, and the Cubs would benefit from a weaker schedule....thus increasing their lead. Not only have they not really increased their lead, but they've allowed the Cardinals to get back in the mix.
  16. Can anyone explain where Jim Hickey falls with the underwhelming performance of the Cubs pitching staff this season? Has he made anyone better?? I get that Lester is getting up there in age, so he's bound to eventually lose effectiveness. And I get that Darvish is injured. But what about everyone else. The only pitcher that seems to have made strides from last year is Wilson. Monty has been good, but really similar to how he pitched last year...just starting more. Q - inconsistent. Hendricks - inconsistent. Chatsuck - DISASTER Most of the relievers have been decent to good with some occasional hiccups. But they've all been pretty good in the past before Hickey. If Chili is to blame (rightfully) for the Cubs diminished power, than Hickey certainly has to take a fair share of blame for the pitching woes.
